Leo experiencing insanity is a good thing

12 posts in this topic

From the depths of insanity will come wisdom. Leo will emerge from the trash and walk towards the sun. He will realize that all humanness is bullshit and all reality is illusion. He will have empathy for those who are mentally ill. He will have a loving consciousness where everything is truly one.

Everything is moving fast,
At a single blink,
Gone is the days into the past,
All we have our choices to think,
In our decisions to trust,
Distracted by illusions we cast,
Illusions of purpose and freedom to last,
Every decision we make is another path,

Do you not see?

Everything hangs on the scale of choices,
It's just like zeroes and ones,
Like simple binary,
Our destinies coded into reality,
To be or no to be,
To exist or not,
To pursue answers beyond insanity,
A choice to accept or reject,
The very existence of choice,
Dictates free will,
Or so we would believe and feel,
And pretend to be free,
But always end up,
Exactly where we are meant,
to be.

Be careful being too demanding in relationships. Relate to the person at the level they are at, not where you need them to be.

To some, Leo experiencing insanity for an hour and claiming to have a clue about it is about as laughable as it might be for Leo to hear someone say they’ve understood awakening because they read The Power of Now

What did the stage orange scientist call the stage blue fundamentalist for claiming YHWH intentionally caused Noah’s great flood?

Delugional.

What's your take on it?  You've had quite a bit of experience with mental illness.

@Tyler Robinson @Inliytened1 My main take is that he probably did contact an insightful degree of insanity. But it’s still just for a short period of time. It’s like anything else. More hours = more understanding generally speaking. I also don’t consider insanity in a controlled environment to be equitable to insanity at the known risk of essentially all normal survival needs. There is a huge range of what can happen in this corner, or maybe even half of the whole room, of what consciousness can do. The thing about true madness is that no normally wise person would go seeking it, but it does bring a lot of insight into consciousness and experience itself, at least to the type of person who would naturally start looking into this stuff if they find themselves in such a predicament. The fact that no one would seek absolute madness having known it makes it something which is hardly understood or known about. There’s not much practical benefit in getting to these states, but if they happen of their own accord, they can still be used in a positive way later on as a sort of reflection on the potentiality that is before us in experience.

It's amusing that I get called out by some for being too insane, and others for not being insane enough.

Hell is trying to please everyone.

@Leo Gura it’s nothing worth pursuing anyway really. And being “called out” by someone for something doesn’t mean they aren’t pleased with what you do and who you are. You probably understand insanity more than plenty of “insane” people.

There are plenty of insane people. The world doesn’t necessarily need a more insane Leo Gura. There’s probably many better possibilities than that.

That's so true, just look at Sheogorath/Jyggalag. He was on his own the god of order, and fastidiously recorded the actions taken of free violation by all entities, gods and mortals, in the past, present, and future. He became so powerful because of his great knowledge and predictive power that the other gods feared him greatly, knowing they couldn't possibly hope to outmaneuver him. So they turned him(Jyggalag) into Sheogorath to disarm him. Little do they know, that they have had been doing Jyggalag's will all along.

For those of you who aren't Elder Scrolls Nerds. Jyggalag is the god of Order and Logic, and Sheogorath is the god of Insanity and Dementia. If you want to become a ES Nerd, then consulting the following links would be a good start.

https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Jyggalag

https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Sheogorath

By the way, I see a great many parallels between Dr. Spock of Star Trek and Jyggalag. They're both individuals who rule by Logical Authoritarianism. And they both overpower nearly everyone they encounter. Or at least, Spock manages to route nearly all the humans he encounters anyway.

I will never forget Sheogorath's quest to kill a Bull Netch with a fork. Best quest in Morrowind.
