@Vibes  Limbo was overrated imo.

Haven't played Inside, though.

   Inside's graphics are lower quality compared to Limbo, but that is also to it's advantage, as it's scary as fuck. I don't know why, but Indie horror games are just really well designed. ?

Asking for great narrative from your games is like asking for great narrative from your porn.

It's always gonna be 2nd rate.

Naughty Dog games are a great example. The narrative is decent at best. Uncharted does not have any kind of amazing narrative. It's decent. But they put so much attention on it that the gameplay suffers. And this is the best case scenario. Most games do it much worse.

The narrative of Indiana Jones is way better than Uncharted.

I don't like that whole series. Never interested me.

I don't like highly linear narrative games.

   WOAH, it's actually surprising to me you don't like The Last of Us part 1 and 2, especially part 2 as it has a few deep themes that the majority of casual to hard gamers just went over their heads.

   Are you into hack and slash games before? Racing games?

Yeah, it's about the importance of forgiveness, perspective, and letting go, the severe consequences of holding on to one's hatred, and the courage and strength that's required to break the cycle of violence; it's a very profound story. I had to write an essay to make sense of that experience.

   Don't worry man, I got your post.

   I also really like how creative they told the story of the game, even though it's not a traditional format, it's actually refreshing as I do love reading stories, and into narratives. Now, I started this game in reverse, part 2 and then part 1, so it was a very interest experience since I didn't have all the context going into part 2, and man I enjoyed the game even more looking back on it, and the sections where I played as Amber, I felt that the main character of that game really was Amber for some reason, maybe the run time, but also I get more gameplay from when it gets to her side of the story. Especially what happened in the beginning, it really piqued my interest for what actually happened in part 1.

I don't turn to games for deep themes. Again, that's like looking for deep themes in my porn.

Neither.

Diablo 2 style games can be great, but the formula is getting worn out and nothing really beats Diablo 2.
