Nitrous oxide for enlightenment

@Vynce What brand do you use? I want to order some from amazon.

Some brands are total shit. I can tell you the two I've found to be the best, though I'd recommend a tank. And realize that nitrous causes spinal neurodegeneration due to oxidation of the cofactor responsible for repairing the myelin sheath! It's not the amount that hurts you either, it's the frequency -- even ONE whippet renders your myelin repair system inactive for the next 3-4 days. So use a bunch in one day and then wait a few weeks preferably until the next time. If you used 1 whippet every other day for a year you'd be in a wheelchair. But if you did 180 all in one night you'd be fine. HEED that warning, everyone!!!

Best Whip is fine

Leland (or whatever the yellow pack is) is fine

Too short.

Even 60 mins is too short. Ideally for this work you want 3+ hr trips.

@Leo Gura Yeah but if you have first time ego death and it scares you, then you dont want that for 3 hours. Thats what I assume, maybe you adapt to it after 3 hours but also maybe you can get traumatized

A potentially useful hedonistic practice is as follows: Watch the below video on loop after doing some quantity of Nitrous.

I have a hard time believing anyone could come to be as uniquely amusing as President Bush without having done copious amounts of Nitrous Oxide in college.

Then vape some 5-MeO, only lasts 15 mins.

Nitrous Oxide combines super well with all psychedelics and a whip cart on the come-up is like a warm embrace. Especially with 5 meo, the come up is rough sometimes and nitrous makes the journey much more enjoyable.

Does anyone else here like to combine psychedelics and nitrous?

Be careful, nitrous can be toxic to your brain.

And it causes unsalvageable demyelination for 3-4 days following each use, even when used in very small amounts. Which can heal... But if you go past a point of no return — say, by linking 20 of those 3-day periods together with no break, by doing a nitrous session every 3 days for 2 months — BOOM… permanent damage.

@The0Self It doesn't cause brain damage by itself, it seems to deactivate vitamin b12. MAybe it can be prevented by taking vitamin b12 supplements, I don't know.

I've been using nitrous for the last 4-5 years. When I do it I binge for several hours and combine it with a psychedelic/MDMA and then don't touch it again for at least a month. When I used to do carts this would be anywhere from 50-200 at a time. Now they sell little mini tanks which I prefer since you throw them out and don't have a bunch of little carts or have to keep reusing a canister. Just a ballon, tank, and nozzle to dispense the gas and you're good to go.

It's definitely not the safest drug, but man is it powerful. I sometimes get into such a flow that I can't stop until it's all done. This can go on for several hours. My most recent trip into infinite was quite frightening actually and I think need a lengthy break.

It causes nerve damage by itself indeed. It can’t be salvaged with extra b12. Otherwise I would have indicated as much. It’s not that it merely causes b12 deficiency, it deactivates ALL of the cofactor in your body so that even supplemental b12 is useless for 4 days post nitrous use. Demyelination will occur for 4 days, but it will heal if the damage was only for 4 days. If you use nitrous every 2-3 days for a year, that’s 365 days of 24/7 demyelination — 99% chance of being in a wheelchair for the rest of your life with painful pseudo MS, after that. Nitrous subreddit used to be full of them.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Luckily I've never used it for long periods of time in a row or regularly at all. I wonder how Steve-O is doing considering that he did copious amounts of nitrous for extended periods of time.. hopefully he is alright. Thanks for the info!

Could you define unsalvageable please?

Yes, in very easy to understand detail:

@LSD-Rumi

@Asayake

It technically isn't the nitrous that directly damages your nerves. It oxidizes every single active molecule, 100%, of b12 in your blood (about half a whippet does this), rendering all of them inactive, and still attached to the (now useless) cofactor. So (essentially, don't take it too literally, this is just a way to explain) your body "feels" that it has maxed b12 stores, because the oxidized (unusable) b12 molecule is still attached to its cofactor, even though it has flat zero b12 that can be used for the reaction necessary for myelin repair... For 4 days. Demyelination will occur in those 4 days.

What I mean by unsalvageable: that 4 day period (technically it can be as short as 60 hours, but certainly not less, and assume at least 3 and possibly 4 days) is a done deal, with no way to salvage the disrupted process, as even if you were to take a megadose of b12, the b12 in your blood is still attached to its cofactor, so the cofactor is occupies and can't attach to any fresh, supplemental (would-be-usable) b12/cobalamin. Whether it's 60 hours or 96 hours... however long it is going to be, is a done deal.

Methionine (an amino acid) can slow the damage a bit. So make sure you're eating enough protein. Pork has an especially high level of methionine.

You can still heal from those 4 days of damage, but you very well might not heal from 40 days of damage, say if you took nitrous every <60 hours for a little over a month -- you'd be left without a necessary biological process for 40d straight, and could be wheelchair bound from that, depending on your system. For some it can take 6 months to a year, but it WILL eventually happen if that vital process is kept inactive 100% of the time for an extended period.

Not to mention, even though as you can hopefully gather from above, b12 deficiency is NOT the issue with the nitrous (it's far worse than that), nitrous ALSO can and will cause b12 deficiency if you use it enough, as it's oxidizing all the active b12 in your blood each time you use ANY amount, which will need to clear before the liver can replace it (as it's still attached to the cofactor), so it's indirectly depleting your liver of b12. So you should ALSO supplement b12. And it is only effective AFTER that 3-4 day period where damage is being done (again, unsalvageable) (start at 60h just to be as healthy as you can with it) to keep the deficiency from being too bad. But since the nitrous depletes so much (literally 100% of what is active in your body/blood), b12 supplementation isn't a magic bullet.

@The0Self Thanks for your clarification. I wasn't aware how serious this issue is, when I originally posted. I think I won't promote the use of nitrous oxide again so easily. Again, thank you.
