Rejection Is My Fear

3 posts in this topic

I suppose I figured it out...that's a start.

I fear rejection. I know where it comes from too. When I was younger, I had a difficult time making friends. I would fake being sick just so I didn't have to be at school around other kids. As I grew older and made some friends, the same rejection pattern would happen. Granted, we are talking about 15 year old girls here, but still. One day, these girls would be my friends and the next they would hate me and not speak to me.

This is why to this day, I still expect people to like me, and then hate me suddenly the next day. I fear rejection. I fear putting my all into something just to be rejected or tossed aside the next day.

The mind is constantly interpreting reality. What seems like reality isn't reality. It is an interpretation. For example, can you be 100% sure that someone hates you? How did you reach the conclusion that somebody hates you? Is it possible that you might be wrong? Is it possible that you are constructing an interpretation of reality, and treating the interpretation to be the reality?

Please watch Leo's video titled, "How your mind distorts reality -- needy vs. non-needy perception."

Also, remember that Ego is the source of almost all of the internal (non-physical) suffering. Watch Leo's video titled, "What's wrong with Ego?".

Put your all into developing a higher quality consciousness. You will neither be rejected nor tossed aside.

Stop thinking about what other people are thinking. Allow them their thoughts. You have your own thoughts. Focus on your thoughts.
