What are psychedelics? Why are they?

Why do you think such substances exist? Are they "keys" hidden in the world as a sort of game? Isn't it kinda funny that the most powerful drug (5meo) is found in the venom of a rare toad that lives in deserts and comes to surface just some months a year? Like, you wanna realize God? You gotta search in the most unthinkable of places. What the hell :D

If you created a game, and wanted to create the hardest quest imaginable why not make it that the character in the game...is the creator of the game and they get to discover it. If you did though....shouldn't you make it hard? Shouldn't you make the stuff you got to do to complete the quest bizarre and rare and scary? Sounds perfectly logical to me.

The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY. 

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

I've had this exact realization many times, including in my first ayahuasca circle. The idea of God hiding the gate to it's own total Self Awareness  inside of plants, toads, obscure meditation techniques, accidents, or synthetic powders that goes up your butt.

It's just absurd. A total joke.

Yeah, and then you research on how to take it and it turns out that some bald guy that is one of the most conscious people on the planet that was making videos on how to make girl squirt few years ago, tells you that best method is to shove it up in your ass.

 

Where would you hide God/You other than in literally your ass. Reality is a joke.

All of life, plants and animals, run on roughly the same chemicals. Due to the diversity of life, somewhere down the line, you'll eventually find psychedelic substances, which are just sister chemicals of those inside our brain.

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

Yes!!! You get it!!! Its absolutely hilarious!! But I got an even bigger mind fuck for you....they have enlightened people in mental hospitals....they just couldn't handle glimpsing the truth so it drove them insane!!! So insane people....are closer to the truth than majority of SANE people!!

When I discovered that I bust out laughing...I was like this stuff is paradoxical as all hell!!! Its why I know to pursue this work....you have to be insane!! If you are not careful....you could really lose your mind....so tread carefully. The whole point of the theory is to give you something to ground you otherwise.....you will absolutely lose your mind.

I don't think there's any special reason for their existence over any other plant. Some plants contain certain chemicals and certain combinations of chemicals which interact with our brains. They're just a product of a spontaneous, evolving, natural world.

Also true. The process of humanity trying and selecting plants and fruits must have been a fun one. Try, spit it out, find out how to cook it, maybe die if poisonous ?

Just a trippy idea:

They exist for mind control, like psychedelic mushrooms which control insects to pair with other insects to spread their spores around. Maybe mushrooms have their own agenda therefore they are twisted
