the "movie"

I think I understood something but I'm not sure if it really is like that.

So, I live my life, whatever needs to happen will happen it's like a script already written. 
I'm living the "movie" and my only free will is to choose what I will think and dream. 
For example: thinking about the past, thinking about the future, having the illusion that I have choices and that I make them, fantasizing about a future I want or don't want, seeing a situation positively or negatively, judging etc...

All this is dreaming (for or against oneself). 
Knowing this, I can choose to be here, choose to let go of control and stay conscious to love the reality, the "movie" I'm currently watching instead of judging it and getting lost in it.

The law of attraction is often misunderstood; we do not create our reality but we choose how we interpret it.

also, if you have no control ,how exactly you gonna relinquish control ?

I’d say every single possibility is available, potentially, like a branching out from any particular given point. As in for instance right now, you could veer off in unnumbered directions with your life, along any particular branch of possibility. Each single point creates the possibility of more branches from that point, and so on, to infinity, second by second you could say, but in actual fact a lot shorter time period but our human mind won’t register a time frame so small. All of these alternative directions you could choose are already existent potentially but not actualized by you. Every possibility is already there in the here and now, so yes you could say it’s already written. But you can steer yourself by living consciously to make actual any given particular path/experience. The more unconscious someone’s mind is the more completely out there and off track to one’s ego things might seem. It’s no mistake that the more conscious one is the smoother that ‘movie’ plays out

Life is not already written, it's a constantly morphing dream. What happens though is you get so lost and immersed in the narrative of the character you are creating that this becomes your reality. You are buying into the dream you are constructing. But you can awaken that this is happening and write a different story.

But maybe it goes more far ! 

Maybe free will is an illusion because our thoughts are happening naturally and we can't choose our thoughts. 
For exemple if I have the thought of "Life is like a movie, it's already written. I can let go of control" these thoughts were meant to happen
and I didn't choose to let go of control, it was just happening to me

It depends what you mean by “free will”.

If you mean to ask whether people have the cognitive capacity to make decisions: to anticipate the effects of various options and select one based on preferred outcome then yes of course we can do that.

If you mean to ask whether those decisions (or any other types of thoughts) are uncaused, or self-caused or occur primarily due to our will, then no.

Our thoughts occur when they will, not when we will. They are caused by other events, most of which we're not directly conscious of.

@amanen Recent insights during my flotation tank meditations have been showing me this too. Everything that makes up the present moment is continually invented instantly in the now. The past does not create the present moment. That is another story we are creating.
