Integrating God - masculine and feminine.

I think many, myself included, have this common picture of God as a loving mother nurturing us with endless love, forgiveness and hope. Which is often called the "feminine quality" of God. 

However there is the masculine side of God, which feels harsh, rejecting and why we say "life is tough". 

During God realization both side are equally important and necessary. Both part of ultimate and necessary perfection.

But here in the relative domain it begs the question, how embodying Gods perspective would make us seem harsh and rejecting. In that sense it is God-like to deliberately make others life's tough. In the end, it makes them stronger, wiser and more in tune with reality. You can think about how a wise parent would decide if the toddler cries for unhealthy sweet stuff and would hate you for not getting it. In this scenario you are literally God to the kid. What will you, as a wise, God-emboying parent do? 

Keeping with that theme, you could say that all your relatives, friends and strangers are little kids crying for your love. How will you act? Feminine or masculine? Especially if you yourself are a lost soul crying in the choir of desperate kids. 

Right now I would feel criminal if I'd embody the masculine site of God towards others as much as I experience it's masculine love towards me. Pure brutality lately. It makes me hate God so much, yet makes me love it so much more, as soon as I see it's necessity. 

There is so much to say about this dynamic. Hope for some discussion and insights here.

You balance the masculine and the feminine By letting go of what you think is a gender specific concept.

Since you are a guy .you need more growth in your feminine side .

Don't worry, it's not about forcing yourself to do something effeminate, it an aspect of caring for creation, its feeding a baby, its being a compassionate problem solver, a nurturer.

Don't get caught up in terminology or concepts of male and female or percentile and such. For all you know, your “balance” might be 70% masculine 30% feminine. What is important is allowing yourself to be who you really are.. your divine wholeness!

These are just attributes that we all possess in different measure. Finding your balance assures the best functioning you, you can be.

@Someone here Have you actually read the post? Why do you bring gender identification into it? This is different topic. 

My decision how I treat others has little to do with my sexual identification. Paradoxical the more I discover my feminine side, the more I want to live from a father-like perspective to my girlfriend let's say. 

Please be precise and sharp in your speech, and please listen to your heart if your speech can enhance the present moment even more or not.

and the reason I'm saying this is Because God is neither a male nor a female .and is both at the same time.

Let's see how.
Before we can understand whether God is male or female, we need to clearly understand that we ourselves are neither male nor female. We are at core spiritual beings, souls, whereas our gender refers only to our shell, our physical bodies. Our spiritual identity is eternal, our gender is transient. Hence both male chauvinism and feminism are two sides of the counterfeit coin of physical misidentification. Only when we distance ourselves from our temporary physical gender will be freed from the ideological preconceptions that are inevitably dragged into discussion on the gender of God. So in the conventional sense of the words 'male' and 'female' where these refer to bodily gender, God is neither.
Yet God is both too..as seen in the worship of Divine Couples in the Vedic tradition. The highly inclusivistic Vedic definition of God as the source of everything, the cause of all causes, leads naturally to an egalitarian understanding of God .. as both male and female.

Great post! For me I would say the Masculine expression of God is the part that toughens me, the part that increases my empathy by having me experience the parts of myself I don't like. The part that inspires action through conflicts that arise, and encourages me to act to resolve those conflicts. The Masculine is the part that holds, and guides and divides. It divides so that it might know, so I love the part that studies division and tries to figure out how it works within the whole. 

The issue is the Masculine also is the reason we as humans perceive problems, feel separate, and are constantly trying to fix and control things. The Masculine is the world of Duality, while the Feminine is the world of Non-Duality and Unity. 

Both parts require inquiry, the masculine does it with logic, the feminine with feeling. They each serve the other, the feminine serves with being, the masculine serves with action. The feminine expresses love through its being, (beauty is love for just being there), the masculine gets inspired by the beauty it sees and it acts to impress that beauty by attempting to match it through its own action and create something beautiful. 

Men throughout history have built civilizations through studying nature to provide a house (protective structure) to shelter the women. The women turn that civilization into a home for their offspring to grow. The woman teaches the man how to relate better, to be more graceful in how he moves, the man teaches the woman how to be more logical, how to analyze and act more. 

The man becomes one with action, and the woman becomes one with rest. The woman teaches the man the concept of comfortable, squishy, and soft. The man teaches the woman the concept of hard, uncomfortable and rough. The duality of existence, you work and you rest. The women teach the man the concept of colors, and beautiful design, the man teaches the woman the concept of functionality and getting tasks done.

The woman teaches the man to enjoy the present, the man teaches the woman to plan and organize for specific outcomes. Through this constant interaction the man realizes at a certain level that the woman is him, and he is her. The barrier ultimately collapses...and they move in unison. 

The greatest love story they reunite and laugh at how they could ever forget that they were ultimately two expressions of the same thing.

Here is an example how reality switched from feminine to masculine back and forth in my life:

Feminine: reality offers me a new job as a fitness trainer with a chance to know hundreds of new personalities and step closer to self-actualization of my highest values. I feel hope, gratitude, new love and appreciation. 

Masculine: the reality as a fitness trainer feels boring, dreadful, lots of repetitive work, dry personalities with 98% smalltalk. Almost no money and terrible work times. 

Feminine: I learn a lot of new stuff about fitness techniques, learn what behavior to avoid with fearful and boring personalities. Learn about wage slavery and what drives ordinary people in their everyday life. Get the chance to do promotion and marketing content, which in itself is way more fun that the actual job. 

Masculine: the realization how even the good stuff in this job holds me back from my true life purpose and that every cool little technique I learn is just distraction from my ultimate goal. 

Feminine: learn that there is no future with some ultimate goal - this moment right here offers everything that has to be experienced in all of reality. This right here is the perfect playground the for the ultimate game, which stands far above any egoic goal. 

And then the masculine side takes over and switched back to feminine. Over and over and over and over again. 

I hate/love being human/God.

1. Feminine: Recently reteaching myself the ability to cry. Apparently my logic was so strong, I could repress emotions super fast by using logic to recontextualize a situation and was basically fooling myself into thinking that I didn't have any hidden negative emotions. So learning to check in with my emotions, acknowledging them, and allowing them freedom of expression.

2. Masculine: Contemplation, dissection of concepts, continually updating and modifying of my world map. Continual recreation of the self and being aware of most of it in every moment. 

3. Feminine: Applying myself to be a better listener, as I am really a selective listener. I listen when a person talks for deep admissions hidden in shallow speech, I look for patterns of expression to find hidden conclusions being purposefully ignored/denied. Basically my ability to find and catch my own b.s. makes me super keen in being able to catch the b.s. of others. I love how people believe I am naive because of my kindness and I reveal to them...its the other way around. 

4. Masculine: I was hard on myself in the past, like an inner personal trainer I was chasing more physical strength, more intellectual understanding, I was trying to become an All-Around Man but I also had a fear of connecting with Woman early on. I had experiences early on in elementary school and middle school where I was rejected publicly and it scarred my psyche. Even to this day...a little bit is still there, but my masculine wants to pretend those scars aren't there and to forge forward. 

5. Feminine: I have been integrating this more, it feels like I'm mothering myself. Very interesting and fun. You can really give yourself the love you wanted, in fact....surprisingly...you are actually better at giving yourself the love you desire while others are actually quite terrible at it. The real point of relationships, is being able to be patient as the person learns how to love you and vice versa and simultaneously being able to accept all the idiosyncrasies (weird things) about that individual. I have A LOT of weird things...and I love them!!! 

6. Masculine: This part of me is starting to fade....I feel it....and I believe I will bring it back to the front later, but I noticed I am getting softer now, kinder, more gentler, its interesting. I did all my proving my toughness to myself when I was younger. I've been in more physical fights than any non/amateur/professional fighter I know. I've been in even more debates than even the fights. I've proven to myself what I am capable of, so I don't really feel like there is anything left to "prove" to myself and thus I am able to accept myself as a result. For me, I had to prove my worth to myself in order to love myself. 

7. Feminine: I'm learning to respect and appreciate the uniqueness and diversity of everything in existence as it is. While I do still struggle in minor ways to accept some things, I have even been teaching myself to accept my resistance as well. So just total acceptance, and being okay with how vulnerable that makes me. I've danced around with vulnerability before in various ways, I seek to do more of that in personal relationships even more.
