A meditation for those who struggle with meditation

I'd recommend following the general advice. Then when it comes to the part about choosing which specific labelling technique to use, I'd do the following.

Simply note the emotion that the thought seems to correspond to. I.e. if the thought seems panicky in nature, just note, 'panic', or excited, note, 'excited'.

I feel a significant calmness and groundedness after doing this type of meditation. And have struggled for years to find benefits from meditation, despite prolonged and repeated efforts with various other methods.

Hope this can be of value to some folks!

Labelling is super useful.

Although the thing that really changed my meditation practice is to embrace and actively enjoy the struggle. The uncomfortable sessions are actually the most beneficial.
