I’m curious to understand this in more depth: How is special treatment or skipping the line at a club hurting my development?

To get special treatment requires that your mind be self-biased, which will then become how you look at the whole world.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

For long term growth, its not necessary that you change your behavior right away.

Just becoming more acutely aware of whats happening inside you when you are making your decisions will give you a lot of clarity.

I remember Leo had a certain video on this. It was called "Awareness is Curative" or something along those lines.

I think the goal/ message of his latest video for instance  is not to shame or judge ourselves for being selfish or having double standards.

Its just to become aware of our double standards so that we can link our selfishness to the limited results we are getting in our life.

So in your example with skipping the line at the club, its not hurting your development to keep doing things the way you are now.

The message/ theory is that there could be a more beneficial way of being/ living for you to discover through your own inquiry and that it will be more selfless rather than selfish.

Or maybe not. Its your job to discover your own answers in the end.

The solution is awareness. No one else can give you your answers in the end. They can only guide you toward awareness.
