Can Leo do Mahasamadhi?

11 posts in this topic

What does Mahasamadhi mean? Mahasamadhi is the state a yogi enters when they consciously make the decision to leave their body. This is only possible once they have already achieved God realization, or nirvikalpa samadhi, in which the yogi recognizes and experiences their true oneness and unity with God.

Anyone knows more about how people can achieve masasamadhi or how it is done when you're god realized?

You are not ready for this because you have not fully lived.

You can't convince me that something like that exists.

What do you mean exactly by this, is it only for beings that don't have anything to learn on earth? Or how does it exactly work. @Inliytened1

There is enough proof, i have seen a long video with lots of proof. But unfortunately it didnt stay long on youtube. In the video everyone was naked, lots of older woman lots of man. Then he went into meditation sleep state and then he was dead. Everyone was cheering then they put him in meditation pose with rope wash him with milk and then burn him etc.

If I didn't see it, it didn't happen.

And Leo is not some Buddhist.

Whats your logic here?

It's a 1-way trip, I don't think you really want to try it to find out. Isn't ego death enough? xD

Only person I've specifically heard mention or claim it is Sadhguru. He says he has to keep his hair long, wear copper jewelry, etc to keep him tethered to his body. If you reach a high enough level it sounds like it'll almost start to happen spontaneously.

I don't understand the point of mahasamadhi, other than if you want to be unified back into infinite consciousness earlier than the normal time which is when you would normally die. It will happen anyways.

100 % no for now , he likes girls too much. Maybe when he's 75

But the thing is that everytime he, or any of us, do those 5 meo trips, it is a kind of mashamadi. some, like me, do it to realize what we are, but others, like leo, have already fully realized it, and continue to do so. They say it's because they want to go deeper, but I'd say it's because they love it. They are addicted to death, and I understand that. death is god and life is mud.  i guess the natural evolution should be to be awaken without psychedelics, put them aside. we will see

Probably not through traditional spiritual means as most modern people are not ready, but I don't want to speak for others who can say for themselves. Better ask @Leo Gura this directly: Can you do Mahasamadhi? Rather than ask us, the users, to proximate what would Leo say?

I was obsessed with the idea of Mahasamadhi when I first heard about it. There is not a lot of information about it. Sadhguru is the only one I know who talks about Mahasamadhi in detail:

"If your awareness has grown to such a point that you know where you as a being and this physical body which you gathered are connected, then you can disentangle yourself whenever the moment is right for you."

I think Mahasamadhi means that you're fully present at the moment of death, that you're conscious of the expiration of the physical body. I don't think it means that you can simply drop your body whenever you want to, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's actually possible.

This is a beautiful video on the topic. Sadhgurus wife actually ended her life that way - it's a bittersweet story.

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche
