You should aim to be in the moment, yes, but what I meant was that if you want to redirect your life so you'll reach your dreams you should aim to have flow in tasks you do daily so the progress happens almost accidentally. The journey will be long and that's why it should be also extremely enjoyable, because the path is the goal. There's nothing more to life than the life you live right now so make most of what you're doing right now and you'll find love, the true love, which's waiting you in the present moment. I meet you there <3

Basically, I'm fixing my health again and it feels good to take some steps, but the general more healthy of postive feelings still need to come.

- I'm in my second week of lifting weights again. 

- week 6 of no porn, first week of nofap (best decision ever, atm it's getting tougher to keep it up) 

- 1 month in on fixing my sleep rhythm. This one is hell, but I'm starting to have some energy again.

Great work bro and keep in mind that the nofap doesn't need to last your whole life and actually it shouldn't, but it should only be used to train your mind to say no to short-term pleasures when needed. When you have done your training you can stop your nofap challenge, because actually it is unnecessary thing to do. Point is to masturbate when you really feel like doing so instead of doing it for the lack of better alternative. Masturbation and sex actually are beautiful spiritual practices so don't throw them completely away.

Nice coming to a gym.

I would like to ask if you guys always have sore body 2-3 days after workout. The soreness does not come immediately but always come 2-3 days later, sometimes even resulting in fever.

The exercises I did are very normal dumbbell exercises or some pull-ups/push-ups.

What can I do to reduce the soreness? Cool down exercise? Take creatine?

This is pretty typical. The easiest way to reduce soreness is to just work out with less intensity or volume. Creatine won’t likely do much to help with soreness. The main purpose of creatine is to improve your strength and endurance during your sets so that the muscle is pushed closer to its true limit.

The gym membership and first time in gym done yesterday! I feel so brave. It hurts everywhere in my body now, but I feel good. Can't wait to go again. 

I also planned a habit tracker for myself for the next week. This is something I've done several times in past, doing trackers, planning routines, etc. But I haven't been patient enough to start from small and focus on building the foundation first. Last time I did this, I tried to take into account this and not take too big piece at once. I started from writing down what were my current routines, and did minor changes to them. Good idea, really, but I still ended up trying to change too much at once and everything fell apart.

So, here's the habit tracker for the next week. This is the beginning and my plan is to refine and develop this from this point.

I don't quite remember who it was here on actualized.org forums mentioning that singing is a spiritual practice for her, but I started to sing that day and it has been like 3 years and I am getting ridiculously good here!! :) Practicing every day for around 30 minutes! Much gratitude to that poster!!

The practice includes listening to one's own voice and forgetting how you look like!

While I'm here I can talk about all the cool things I did recently.

Went to see my parents out of my own volition. They've been wanting to spend time with me and I've just not been doing that outside of more formal family gatherings. This here was a spontaneous "I want to spend time with you". They liked it a lot and we had a nice time. We ended up talking about politics, because of course we did.

I don't think I talked about my new exercise routine that I've been using for 4 weeks now. Basically now I go four times a week, upper-lower-upper-lower. And I just do a bunch of exercises that are more focused on specific muscles instead of the big free-weight compound movements I was doing at first.

There's some criticism of this but the reason I went for it is that I felt I didn't really have to right form or just the exercises didn't really seem to work my muscles very well. With the more specific exercises, I can feel I have the right form and it's really working my muscles quite well so I'm happy to stick to them for the time being. If I'm not happy with the results in a few months, then I'll happily change.

Overall I feel it's been working quite well and I'm happy with my routine.

Are people still doing this? The thread has been so silent lately.

Some days ago I challenged myself to meditate ~5 hours in a day. It's part of bigger challenge. I'll tell you, it wasn't easy. But I did it. I cut the whole time in smaller parts and completed it during the whole day. I did last parts before I went to sleep. And when it was completed, I felt like I just did something impossible. I mean, I knew it is possible in theory, and I believed I'm able to do it in practice, but my mind was the challenge. Meditating itself wasn't mostly that hard, but turning away from everything else I would have wanted to do. And it was harder and harder every time. The last 30 minutes were hardest to get done. It was getting late, I was tired, focus was shattered. It is funny how there is so many other things where the finishing part is most challenging mentally. For example walking long way home. When I lived in my last apartment, I used to have a certain point in my route where I was about 15 minutes away, where I started to feel like I'm done.

I did second version of the habit tracker. There's so many spots that are not completed. I don't feel like the fault is in my tracker, but obviously I'm not sure. I feel like it's been more about the ability to use my willpower to choose to start doing certain things. It's like the willpower "muscle" is exhausted and cannot lift even a light weight. But what is interesting, I have done a lot of other things, and have been able to use the willpower to finish things. 

On Saturday, I changed the order of living room furniture. On Sunday I cleaned almost my whole house. It took the whole day. It was mostly rousing/exciting (I'm unsure about the correct word), but I really had to push myself to finish it. 

Well, this gives me again a subject to contemplate.

@Rainy Sparkle damn, 5 hours is impressive. Congrats.

My accomplishments for today was my kickass gym session, 30 minutes of meditation and a few hours of packing up my apartment (I’m moving next week).

Oh also finished Leo’s newest video about socializing. Was certainly thought provoking.

Here’s my update: 

Reading this book before my workout and basically doing vipassana from the nondual perspective as the whole field of experience is pushing itself to muscular failure.

Did a thing. It's a long read.

Overall I think something I'm starting to really realize is that there are something that are becoming more and more non-negotiable.

Leo talked about this in his video about decisions and things being non-negotiable. And watching that video I realized drinking alcohol was non-negotiable, I was never ever going to do it, EVER, it was non-negotiable.

But I was struggling make more non-negotiable decisions in my life. Like I know I need to keep myself and my apartment clean, but I couldn't make it non-negotiable. I know I need to eat absolutely impeccably, but I couldn't make it non-negotiable. I know I need to go out and socialize to improve my social skills because I'm really that bad, but I couldn't make it non-negotiable. I know I shouldn't be wasting so much of my time with cheap entertainment and doing nothing productive and instead making me feel bad about how I spend my days, but I couldn't make it non-negotiable.

Now, none of these things are non-negotiable yet, but I can feel they're becoming more and more and it doesn't feel like I can't make them that way. Like, it's happening. I'm already taking action and moving forward with these things. And I think, soon enough, they'll become completely non-negotiable like not drinking alcohol is.

Went for a run today.

In Geneva there is this annual "Course de l'Escalade" (literal translation would be Race of the Climb) to commemorate the time the Genevans beat the Savoyards that were invading. It's a 7.2 km run and there's like 20'000 people who come. It happens early December

I've basically never really run in my life and I asked my brother if he thought I could do it, he said yeah so I decided to try it out by going on a run today. I think that yeah, I can definitely do it.

I've got 6 weeks to train, I'm gonna go twice a week, it'll be a good time and it's a nice goal to have for myself.

I did 501 pushups in 9 hours. I am sore. Even though Andrew Tate is a bully, he has some great things that people need to hear such as building self-discipline and self-reliance. However, Tate is more full of shit than gold. I was able to do 501 pushups because I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it and hold my 2 middle fingers up to Tate. I need to be more masculine in my life. I have been such a pushover and I am tired of it. I have been too afraid to talk and flirt with women. That happens no more. It is all about my frame. My frame is just to initiate and have a conversation and be friendly. My frame is no longer to flirt and get women wet but just to build a connection with them, share my passions, and ask them about theirs. I will try this out tonight.
