my whole life, it seems. I have yet to experience an ejaculation without symptoms. I noticed, though, that there are different types of ejaculation, some of which are less draining.  I am also currently learning NEO's as an alternative to suffering for days every time I cum.

You can also check out the link of POIS doctors at poiscenter.com if you want to be formally diagnosed by a specialist, although those symptoms are pretty damn obvious. Most doctors will prescribe antihistamines or antibiotics for this (they are all very clueless apart from thinking it’s an autoimmune disease). Those can lead to greater health issues down the line, so just be aware and do your research.

In the meantime, until you hopefully discover some kind of improvement to your POIS, practicing semen retention and non ejaculatory orgasms in general is certainly the way to go. 

If you still doubt if this is a medical condition, ask your male friends in real life if they experience the same symptoms as you do. You’ll find most males do not, certainly not to the extent that defines POIS.

Also know that there have been many people in the same situation as you who have found relief from their POIS symptoms by taking certain natural supplements. I am fortunately one of those. POIS is a very complicated and strange condition, different solutions work for different types of POIS (as you’ll read about and see in the first link of this post).

I kind of just consider it a blessing given that it's made me grow so much and is still forcing me to grow. I'm not particularly attached to orgasms but practicing any kind of sexual practice means you will slip and ejaculate sometimes. I also view that as a strong motivating force.

Yeah it certainly provides a strong motivation to do energy and tantric practices where you otherwise probably wouldn't have explored if you didn't have this condition. Learning non-ejaculatory orgasms is particularly important for cases like ours, but it is definitely ideal you find a natural solution for your symptoms (at least to alleviate them a little bit!) in circumstances where you inevitably slip up xD

Exciting update to my condition!! This has been a very long ass journey.... :D

I have identified that my POIS is most likely autoimmune. (POIS is very complex, there appears to be different types, and because it's considered rare there isn't much research into it, so there are varying opinions on what causes it like heavy metals, autoimmunity, leaky gut, allergy, etc.)

I did an elimination diet over the course of 5 days, and my POIS symptoms were dramatically reduced, probably to about 95% reduction. Just some moderate fatigue and mugginess the following day which went away after a meal or two. I didn't even need to take the raw garlic or fenugreek. This is a major milestone for me, as I am fairly certain now that the root cause of my condition is a leaky gut, triggering the autoimmunity. The plan now is to identify which foods are triggering me (most obvious one are grains) through another elimination protocol, then to eliminate them indefinitely while I seal the gut.

The elimination diet I went on was grass-fed grass-finished beef, beef organs, fruit and honey, raw goat milk, and pasture-raised eggs which alleviated 95% of my POIS naturally (without the use of fenugreek or garlic). My next elimination protocol will begin with the same, but excluding dairy and eggs, while adding lectin-free vegetables from Dr. Gundry's plant paradox program.

Thank the fucking lord. What a motherfucking journey it has been. This all started in 2017-2018... I could write a thick book about it all. I'm going to create a video on it soon lol

There are so many undiagnosed POIS'ers in these online abstinence communities, particularly the semen retention ones. It's mind boggling. I was apart of all of that. I am grateful that I've always been relatively open-minded which allowed me to entertain the idea that perhaps I have a medical issue. Lmao

What if you can't quit it like a drug addict can't quit using addictive drugs and the only way to stop is for someone to basically tie you up and not leave you out of their sight until you basically get back your consciousness to a stable enough level? How do you mastrubate if not by watching some form of porn? Maybe not on the internet. Instead you use fantasy and imagination. That's porn, but still way better than the online version.

I want to share an update as I know many others struggle from POIS & do not realize it's something that is actually fixable, or at the very least can be improved symptom wise. My symptoms at their worst used to be chronic fatigue, anxiety, brainfog, irritability, and body aches for 3 days for each ejaculation (this was over 1.5-2 years ago now, and had been going on since 2017). My symptoms have significantly improved since then. Now I only experience a bit of murkiness, body aches, and mood disturbances for an hour or two (if I release in the morning, it generally fucks up my day - better to sleep it out as you'll read about down below). This honestly allows me to release whenever I want really, while being able to continue thriving. Recently, I just discovered the power of red meat & eggs for my POIS recovery. That has enabled me to recover from my POIS episodes significantly faster than when I don't eat red meat & eggs. 

Here is my up-to-date protocol for my POIS:

Gluten-Free & Just Eat Real Food (JERF) - Gluten/wheat-free is 100% essential. Focus on the quality and variety of real foods. Meat, eggs, vegetables, wholegrains, nuts, raw dairy, etc. Intuitive eating

Fenugreek "Nature's Own dry seed extract pill 1000mg" - take 30-50 min before and immediately after. I basically take this everyday, sometimes twice

Fresh raw minced garlic - let it sit for 5-10 min before consuming, take 30-50 min before and immediately after. Garlic should be nice and wet when minced, if not it's probably old and dry, discard and get fresh garlic. I also basically take this everyday, sometimes twice

200g+ red meat & 2-4 eggs, ideally 1-2 servings throughout the day - nutritional powerhouses, important for energy, libido & recovery from POIS. They seem to have a significant synergistic effect for improving my POIS recovery. Ideally eat on their own or with some fruit, as phytic acid from grains may chelate important nutrients. Have frequently, especially around release, alongside a nutritious wholefoods gluten-free diet

Vitamin B Complex "Nature's Own Ultra B 150 Forte"  - amazing for the mind. POIS seems to drain my B vitamins, and this brand/complex work perfectly for me, most likely because of the choline. I've tested other brands, even more active complexes and they don't work as well as this one personally. This had an absolutely potent effect on me when I first began taking it, but now I believe my body is more replete with these nutrients and therefore I dont feel like I need it as often. Maybe every 2nd day or so

Ideally release at night-time to get a good nights rest while body recovers from POIS - everytime I release in the morning, I find it generally fucks up my day. Better to do it at night, and wake up to a big day of eating right & recovery.

I will most likely combine this with a moderated version of semen retention and non-ejaculatory orgasms at some point. Non-ejaculatory orgasms are definitely legit and worthwhile for everyone to explore, especially men with POIS. Tho, you should do your best to optimise any condition you have.

@tezk Thanks for the update, im going through the same thing and came to similar conclusion as you.

After a orgasm ill eat 6-8 eggs with a bell pepper(vitamin c) and carrot and that significantly shortens the 2-3 day recovery period. 

There's nutrient deficiencies and the body cant keep up with the demand. Like you said possibly inflammation causing depletion.

Its the same after a intense work out, getting nutrients is vital.  

At this point I learned to stop mastermating and ejaculating entirely during sex (squeezing pc muscle) this obvious helps.


How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Fenugreek makes me sick for 8+ hours, its a pretty brutal herb for my body, just a random anecdote. The extreme negative reaction really surprised me.

Also b-complex stress out my body. Another random anecdote.

Yes, I always struggled with this disease since I was 16. I used to suffer from fatigue, low mood, and brain fog after ejaculation, along with acne and muscle pain to the point I couldn't sleep on my side from the pain. a couple of years back, I started masturbating In a more "spiritual" way. I let the sexual energy flow from my penis into my heart. It feels very satisfying, like pure energy in the heart. The ejaculation is smooth and satisfying. nowadays, after I masturbate, my mood is elevated and I get very relaxed.

Great to hear you've found something that works for you. Eggs are fucking awesome. When I reintroduced them after a long omission to test whether I was sensitive to them, I felt an enormous improvement in my POIS recovery. Many over at the POIS center also report improvement in their POIS from eggs alone. 

Have you tried a basic elimination diet, like going gluten-free? If your gut is leaky, you will become easily inflamed from plant foods. I believe my POIS has its roots in this. If you feel better going gluten-free, your gut is most likely leaky and you are probably sensitive to other plant foods like I am.

There are many different POIS-type clusters & therefore different root causes, nutritional deficiencies being one of them it seems. Regardless of what cluster you are in, deficiencies will definitely make things worst. And yeah, for years I was stuck in a constant state of POIS inflammation. I believe this heavily drained my B vitamins and probably all sorts of vital minerals and nutrients.

When I was in a relationship, I had non-ejaculatory sex for years knowing that if I slipped up, I would experience the dread of POIS symptoms. This gave me God-like PC muscles. Non-ejaculatory sex can also be beneficial for relationships, as it reduces the 'Coolidge' effect. So it ironically improved my relationship in certain ways lol.

Have you looked into non-ejaculatory orgasms?

Weird response from the fenugreek. 

As for the B complex, have you tried different types & dosages? Some people respond better to non-active ones, while others respond to active (methylated) ones. It's fairly common to feel stressed or overstimulated from B vitamin supplements, that's your body's way of indicating to you to try another type (non-active instead of active/methyl type etc - all depends on your genetics). The one I take has active B12, but the rest are non-active & I feel great after taking this. Just a matter of finding a brand/bottle that works for you.

I've noticed that my POIS symptoms do seem to correlate with the amount of ejaculation released. Maybe you are ejaculating less (which is what tends to happen if you aren't extremely erotically aroused).

?Thats exactly what ive been doing for the past year. But Im still failing occasionally and its a issue, i found that doing hip trusts with heavy weight strengthens the PC muscles and generally makes me last longer and have higher degrees of awareness/control. Do you have any tips that helped strengthen your technique?

Yes been down this rode for years, for this body if i avoid to many foods ill just have problems under eating or not getting enough nutrients, so i eat clean but everything with some exceptions, like lentils that cause skin break out. I haven't found gluten to be a problem, its more some grains are worse then others, like oat meal is pretty bad for some reason but not spelt or kamut. Kamut gives me insanely good energy oddly.
