Best business ideas to start with little money.

From the title I expected your budget to be $500 hahaha.

For $20k there are more businesses you could start than not. I could list hundreds.

Atm I'm looking into growing and selling microgreens/sprouts/wheatgrass/gourmet mushrooms. The startup cost would be under $3,000. I would expect to make about $50k in the first year from about 20 hours a week of work.

For $20k you could buy and operate a freaking food truck.

If you want ease of starting and scalability plus lots of exercise without much red tape or paperwork, I'd do lawn mowing / landscaping / window washing or something like that.

Start any type of online venture, content creation, consulting, marketing services, or dropshipping are really good places to start from.

Lmao, I was sorta gonna suggest something similar but held off coz it's so niche. I did that for awhile (and urban farming) Was a lot of work, though the microgreens were the most efficient time/dollar-wise, just not a ton of demand for it where I live. And you can run into health permitting issues if running out of a home outfit (something to take into account as if your plumbing is not up to standard that can cost a ton more to get set up). So I guess if you can find a market for it (or create one) it's not bad. Definitely didn't make anywhere near $50k in revenue though.

He wants to earn his independence by creating a YouTube channel. He genuinely wants to be a massive value provider.

But he has an "ADHD" type of mind, leaving him unable to retain the information he reads or studies. He's unable to articulate understanding.

He has mental health issues due to childhood trauma — the tremendous lack of love he didn't receive in early childhood is debilitating. He grew up in poverty with a violent, alcoholic father and a cold, depressed mother.

He realizes that he has mental health issues that could be cured only through spirituality. He gets to work. He starts to read books. He struggles to focus but he pushes through anyway.

As the future is uncertain, he has no idea where he'll end up — but he continues to be vigilant and persistent.

The question is "what would be a meaningful business for you?" You can offer a high-quality service even on a budget

The danger here is investing in something purely for maximising revenue and selling your soul to the devil by screwing over customers for maximising your margins. 

Or you can use that money to get the education necessary to offer a type of service that you will be proud of.
