Teachers who embody Love/Bhakti/Devotion

8 posts in this topic

Who are the modern day (currently alive) spiritual teachers who most embody that felt sense of love/devotion/Bhakti? People like Matt Kahn, Ram Dass (recently deceased) and Richard Rohr come to mind. Anyone else you'd recommend?

@tuckerwphotography Adyashanti is the greatest modern day embodiment of love imo.

“The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me; my eye and God's eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one love.”  ~ Meister Eckhart

Love has so many facettes. Being a caring, compassionate being like Ram Dass is just one such facette. I think you would have to look at who is the most integrated, least partial teacher and that would probably lead you more in the direction of Ken Wilber.

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche
