I want to get to the bottom of  things.

This is what existential crisis is. But it's not a big deal. It's like you are running a long marathon (in this case mental masturbation). Keep running, no problem. Just carry a big water bottle with you. What I'm saying is that be positive and don't think there is something wrong with you. Embrace your exploration skills. I was very frustrated when I was going through it. I also felt like going to a doctor. It's natural but the doctor won't help you much. You have to cut down the frustration by coping with calm music, relaxation exercises, taking short breaks during the day, not getting overwhelmed, answering the questions in your mind slowly, properly without confusion, maintaining your mental stamina because it's very taxing to explore things mentally so keep very mentally hydrated with enough rest, breaks, relaxation, walks, zero arguments, don't bring relationship into this it will break you down easily (because relationships are another mindfuck). Just don't lose focus or get too frustrated because mental breakdowns are very common during existential crisis especially if you have the added factor of anxiety going with it. So learn to calm down but don't calm down your curiosity. Your brain is in the "curious child" mode during the phase of existential crisis. As a result your brain will ask 10 different questions in a day, you will ask a lot of questions, and open a lot of threads because your brain is hungry for answers. This is completely normal but it's very frustrating because it's like running a marathon that never ends. There is nothing abnormal and you don't need a doctor. Suppressing/repressing this phenomenon is like halting growth. Your mind and brain is trying to grow so let it grow.

It will eventually slow down when your clarity will improve, you will have a sense of purpose, a spiritual or mental framework to follow. Then the existential crisis will go out like a flame that burns out.

Right now it's an active flame.. keep feeding it.

It will slow down at some point and taper off and come to and end. You will need minimum 6 months to a year or even 2 years for it to calm down finally. So have patience and carry a mental emotional stamina water bottle. Good luck..

the ego is kind of "intelligent" (is not just a dumb robotic system) and it will modify its behavious with the new understanding.

It seems like the ego is neccesary for surviving (If you want to survive in a body, a selfish "I" thought is neccesary to know and interact with the world). But the ego can become self-aware (like it is connected with a ubs-cable to Consciousness Lol) and be less neurotic and have more concious behaviours aligned with the Truth of reality. (But of course, the ironic thing is, that if the ego would be really aligned with this Truth,he would just dissapear Lol).

Ultimately of course there is no duality between ego and conciousness because it´s all Consciousness. But Consciousness is imagining this differences so Consciousness still lives the dream of being a human being I guess

Well the thing is the truth cannot be spoken. Whenever we have these discussions we are just using words that are just signposts pointing at something. The word human is a word, a concept, a symbol used to describe a human. But is that word human? No. If you learned what the word human mean and what its definition was....would it get you closer to understanding what a human is? No. Now you could study humans for years and have an idea what humans are but you would never truly understand it without direct experience.

This is why Spirituality wants you to use direct experience. In your life the ego feels very real, so does pain, etc. etc. The only reason we say the ego is imaginary is to use that concept as a guide to find your true self. God creates through imagination, all of God's creations are created from Love. Love is knowledge, knowledge is truth. So whatever God imagines to be real...is real. So if you are God whatever you imagine to be true....is true. This is why the ego is real. So how would God realize itself? God would have to realize that as source...it is above all creation. Since its the source...nothing in comparison to it...is more true. This is why it is said God is absolute truth, because from God all truth is created. So in comparison to God....all is illusionary, but since God the Absolute Truth deems it to be true...it will be true as long as God imagines it to be.

If you notice....this is a loop. An infinite loop, it is also a relationship.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Yeah I agree with all these points. Balance is key. I tend to stay in the shallow end of the pool. It's a lot more work staying afloat in the deep end. Sometimes I might stumble upon a deep philosophical question that reflects a life experience that I had. In that case I am happy to share it along with the conclusions I might have reached.

The one positive thing about getting older and gaining enough life experience is it gives you perspective that your younger self lacked. I try to pass that on whenever I can.

And so all of what you mentioned should apply to my philosophical inquiries..

I think it would require someone with a creative mind, that is capable of deep thinking.

It should not be forced, as some posts on here can be never ending paragraphs of made up sentences that seem as fillers just to be able to sound as if one is in fact a philosopher.

To theorize as a philosopher I think one should have good amount of real world knowledge combined with a good amount of book smarts. My last point would be that the person should also be able to articulate those thoughts into well constructed and interesting sentences..

To answer a question philosophically you have to first learn to think philosophically . less abstractly and more concretely because what would happen if you gave all the soup ingredients to a woman who never cooked in her life, even if you include the recipe as well? Then when you taste the soup in the end and it's bad, you must say that she didn't understand the recipe even though she could read it. And so bad philosophy is like a soup of abstract ingredients with no good definite flavour:D

@Razard86 I will get back to ya later today ..but I have to go shopping now so pardon me?

The best way to find the answer

Answer yourself, but be honest: do you want to be on the carousel or you want to step out and be free, feel harmony and contentment?
Or you can keep writing, that is what forum is for, beautiful writing, exchanging ideas, attracting the readers and helping community…

@Razard86

The ego is an incredibly intricate and highly complex sytem. Most of the spiritual teachings tend to oversimplify it saying "get rid of your ego and you'll be just fine" or even saying that the ego is the enemy and has to be killed. I mean, we're talking about your current perception of reality. That's the very reason you're not criminally insane and you can function properly in this world. In the complete absence of ego and memories, you'd be lying in your room and drooling over the carpet. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get the point.

In the light of this, I think it's quite understandable why the ego is so 'sticky' even if you've had some glimpses into your true nature.
