MBTI Compatibility Theory ..Accurate!?????

158 posts in this topic

I can't believe how easy it is to talk to INTJ girls.  (By easy I mean fun to talk to, and they're actually smart)

Didn't expect it to go so well, so I've ended up with like 5+ GFs.  Yeah yeah, unethical, but I'm an ENTP ..fuck it?‍♂️

  • ENTP x INTJ lives up to the hype, it seems.  Getting INTJs to love you actually feels worthwhile.  And the Ne-Ni, Te-Ti, etc. dynamic works, surprisingly, amazingly well with mature INTJs.  It really is shocking.
  • INFJ less great, but still pretty good.  They're still smart, but far less exciting and get offended easily.
  • INFPs are good as friends, and any relationship would work easily, but they're a bit too submissive and an ENTJ or something would seem a better match for them.
  • ENTP x ENTP can work, and the energy is a bit crazy.  But, again, not super exciting as there's no Fi.
  • INTPs are very hit and miss.  They often lack any emotional intelligence, and are very indecisive.  They have all the ENTP cons, and none of the pros.
  • ISTPs are like the bottom-of-the-barrel INTPs.  Good as friends, but they really suck at every form of socialising.
  • ENFPs are hit and miss.  They seem good on the surface, but are often spineless.  They will disagree with you, but not actually say anything.  Damn annoying to an ENTP.
  • I have experience with only 2 ESFJs, and while it's possible to make the relationship work, I just can't respect them.. like.. at all.  They're gonna be religious 90% of the time, and will feel stressed out when you make them use their brains.

So overall, ime, this chart is accurate AF.  Despite me thinking I prefer extroverts, I actually prefer introverts when it comes to relationships.  Shittier compatibility with ALL sensors, as predicted, has also been one of my observations.

What has been your experience?

Romantically from my experience

INTJ x ESFP: First relationship and i was not able to handle her life style, constant need for dancing and attention with other men. Loyalty was always in question. But the conversations where great, healthy ESFP they love insights into things and look up to INTJ like your a genius, they ask many questions, makes you feel special. The sex was incredible, ESFP know how to be in the moment.

INTJ x ISFJ: Disaster paring, completely different values, they think your jokes are genuinely stupid and have no interest in interesting things lol, nothing in common.

INTJ x INFP: The most intense love romance, how hard can we childishly love each other? Fi sex. Conversations are endless in every topic. But hard to keep the INFP on track, clashing alot over INTJ Te mode destroying feelings by accident. Need to always speak nicely to INFPs.

INTJ x ENFJ: ENFJ is very giving something INTJ is not used to, ENFJ judges INTJ a lot for not being good at the things they are good at, they both look down on each other in a way. Hard to form a deeper connection, ENFJ is constantly confused for INTJ lack of Fe.

INTJ x INTP: Instant compatibility with no conflict, similar life experiences and can't hurt each other.

INTJ x ESFJ: Mortal enemies, literally cant communicate. Left BAFFLED after every interaction.

INFP + ENFJ - No stank you.  They're manipulative and have no sense of self.  They're well known for people being the most likely to be a psychopath/sociopath and need to be sent off on an ice berg into the ocean in droves.  If I know someone is an ENFJ, I know they're gunna be a total cu** of a human being.

INFP + ENTJ - No.  I don't like or need to be dominated, or talked over without being seen.  Most sensor type intuitive.

INFP + INFJ - Shallow, over rated and most are INFP's in disguise.

INFP + INFP - Could work, depending on how much of a winger the male is...

INFP + ENFP - As if I need the lack of solid footing, I have enough of that as it is.  Makes a good friend, though, they remind me of my drunk self, though, only sober...

INFP + INTJ - Nope.  I have terrible Te.  I don't need someone looking over my shoulder critiquing the application of everything that I do or making plans for me that I never agreed to.  Most don't have hearts, either, it's like dealing with what a mad scientist thought a human should be, minus having an actual heart and soul - they're literal human robots.

INFP + INTP - They make good friends, I have not met enough to know what they're like romantically.

INFP + ENTP - They make good friends, but I couldn't deal with them long term - I need "some" reflection that feelings actually matter and they can't pay attention to anything but themselves for longer than 30 seconds

INFP + sensor - All sensors should be sent to an island of their own - overcrowded and desolate, and forced to live under squalid conditions for simply existing.  No INFP should ever have to deal with a sensor.

Point is - INFP's are not made for relationships, we're made to "fantasize about relationships".  That's about as far as an INFP should get.  Most of us have expectations that can't be fulfilled by a normal human being.

I'm praying that someday y'all get out of this toxic rabbit hole of an ideology called MBTI.

Foolish until proven other-wise ;)

My best friend is ESTJ and I'm an INFP. So exceptions are possible. Although he doesn't really understand spirituality and is more focused on material goals. He is very goal oriented and driven, works hard and gets what he wants.

However, I was probably more of an INTP when we learned to know eachother. I used to be an INFP when I was a child and now last couple of years I've become INFP again. I think our strong loyalty to eachother has kept us together.

Orly?  Takes me just two letters.

"No."

Felt great.  Or how about two words.

"Just... no."

Even greater, I might become enlightened by the end of the day.

@Loba I'm actually compatible with everyone, the issue is this site breeds the worst social experiences.

^  You made a mistake, should be a picture of a spreadsheet with glasses, and monotone voice.

@integral All the more reason to avoid most people that are on this site.
I'm compatible with no one, but I'm fair in that it is 'equally' no one.
I don't believe that people are compatible with everyone, sounds like airy fairy spiritual nonsense.

I agree, it would take some compromise.

Its not serious this thread, sharing random incompatible experiences and ignoring the good.

It’s alright for some surface level comparisons, like sensors and intuitive are probably not gonna get on that well together

But when you start saying/thinking things like “your 4th cognitive function makes you incompatible with everyone who has a certain cognitive function in their 2nd slot”, you’ve entered astrology and ideology land

INFPs and ENFPs would match the aesthetic more, of course. But the rarity of the unicorn applies more to INTJs.

Good point.  What is your opinion of INTJ women?  Are they too much like you?  Do you prefer more differences?
