Here's a chain of events:

1. Being more selfless, doing good
2. Seeing myself as someone doing good
3. Seeing myself seeing myself as doing good
4. Warning my lower self about the dangers of spiritual ego
5. Feeling weird about it
6. Ego backlash
7. Negative survival threatening event
8. Feeling scared of my own karma
9. Contemplating doing more good out of fear
10. Realizing all this is bullshit

Now what?
