Bush Invaded Iraq, The Consquences Are Still In Place

6 posts in this topic

I've talked to so many liberals over the past years about the issue of invading Iraq, and they all were trying to blame George W. Bush for that, calming that his action has sabotaged the country and the Iraqi nation an such, yet I would like to mention here that the successive administrations have worked to maintain what Bush administration has started.

I don't know if this is a big shame or not, but truly it is not working for me! This Iraqi state and the status quo is now sponsored by the US, a country that's supposed to stand for freedoms and human rights, yet for some reason, the successive US administrations have turn a blind eye to the lack of freedoms in Iraq. It is utterly astounding how they can achieve that. They try to keep lo-profile in Iraq. They are there, but also they are not there. They claim to help rebuild Iraq. but non of that has been achieved over the past soon to be 20 years! They claim to fight ISIS, as if it is the real devil, not understanding the circumstances that led to the emergence of ISIS, which in my opinion is lack of personal freedoms, and too much morality, to the point that corruption is becoming the norm, and some people choose to fight their government, so they form terrorist organizations and turn the tables.

All this for the sake of keeping the oil flowing, and keeping a weak balance in place, a balance that will not serve anybody in the future, because it is built on no other foundation but truing a blind eye to how the Iraqi state is managed and the corruption that's ongoing on there.

It is utterly absurd how they don't even treat Iraq as a country, and they turn a blind eye to the human rights violations that are happening every single day here. But everyone will pay the price in the future when the next semi-collapse happens in this heated region.

Always relevant to point out.
This perspective isn't at all highlighted in the corporate media, because they have unfortunately become mouth pieces for the weapons and oil industry.

It would be a good idea for those who identify as left, to self-examine who they are placing their trust in.
Just as I would say the same for those on the right.

Also, I don't want to make another thread, but what about those "kids in cages" we heard so much about during the previous administration? Why is that no longer an issue?

And why are left-wingers being labeled as "right-wingers" and being censored for mentioning it? Misinformation? Or information that is just inconvenient for the current flow of power?

@Rokazulu The morality here is killing me! They want to create the most moral country in the world! there's no space for creativity, everyone should get a piece of the pie of the oil returns somehow or just die. There's no space for any new projects or ideas. If anybody managed to somehow break through the walls of morality and get away with doing something new, then a thousand person copies his idea and start the same business!

I hate this country, I hate this place. I hate those people

Well, I would relieve yourself from that burden.

Having hate in your heart towards anyone, is only allowing those individuals to strike pain in you a second time.
Deny them the pleasure.

These are nice words. Thanks!

I am going to channel this anger and rage to try to do change to my life to be with better people

To the individual the shadow of liberalism and authoritarianism are similar. They believe they know best how you should live. They believe their values should be your values. Be aware though that rebellion against liberalism is also part of the same dynamic, and part of how it operates.

Maybe help contribute to the third way? In whatever form that takes in your life.
