random musings on love

20 posts in this topic

  • prerequisite to love ... only love if someone wants to be loved ... this is where religions went wrong ... don't love the unwilling, that is akin to rape
  • love is 1. a need & 2. a want ... love is 1. come when i call (need you) & 2. call to have me come (want you)
  • unconditional love means i take a bullet for you ... like jesus says you lay down your life ... realistically most won't love to this extent only a parent may do this for child
  • you have only a tiny amount of energy ... love with wise discrimination ... be kind to all love well a few ... thus love needs great strategic planning
  • who can you love though? only those who are most like you ... so 1. know you then & 2. out of every 10 people you meet, love only the one most like you
  • love isn't active love isn't passive love is available love is willing love is flexible love is excited
  • love changes nobody and desires to change nobody ... to me you are not perfect but for me you are just perfect
  • love has no reason for loving the beloved ... love me for a reason and let the reason be love ~ the osmonds
  • the extent to which one has truly loved is the only radiance on one's deathbed
  • finally, first fix me, before any hope, of loving thee

human love is comforting but it is a source of attachment. reinforces the ego. metaphysical love is pure detachment. it is the love of existence to exist, and does not differentiate in the least between one thing that exists and another. just by existing, they are pure love.

we are tribal humans and it is extremely difficult for us to do without human, conditioned love, and thus we always live attached to the ego. detached human love... does it exist?

would life be worth living in a true 1-person universe ... not the you are everyone type of universe, i mean imagine for a second there are no humans in the entire universe, you are the only one who resides here ... do you want to continue your life in other words what is life if without love

In the end we are human and we need the social, although the social is at the same time the problem. The key is in balance, it is not easy

@gettoefl beautiful!

“The admission price to hear the lofty minstrels speak of love is affordable only to those who have not exhausted themselves dividing God all day and thus need rest.”

“The earth would die if the sun stopped kissing her.”

This would make Metta (loving kindness) meditation a form of spiritual rape. The Bible says love your neighbor as yourself, pretty much every religion is in favor of unconditional love even toward your enemies.

love needs consent in 2022 ... their love is nothing but an attempt to make themselves feel good ... people haven't need of fake patronizing love

unconditional love has nothing to do with human love. human love is totally conditioned, it is attachment, mutual support, tribe, norms. unconditional love makes no difference between a mother with her baby or three psychopaths hacking you apart with axes while dying of laughter.

what is loveable if not being ever excited to receive love?

i allow myself to be vulnerable and spontaneous

trusting that life will deliver ample goodness

i am a child waiting for its dinner

i carry a sublime spark of the divine in me

i just need to let myself be seen

for i am lovable

Unless the type of love in question is of the sort that is impossible to deny.
