Now solipsism is not purely conceptual for him anymore.

His explanation starts at 52:18.

Curt is probably a good example of someone who shouldn't do psychedelics.

Apparently.

"Acceptance as a quality of pure consciousness is not saying yes to something. It's allowing it to be, without rejection and without acceptance. It's a non-rejection. Acceptance doesn't mean "I take it on as true and that's it". Acceptance means let it be as it is and let's find out what it is, let it show itself. I don't accept and I don't reject what I experience. "

I love this

That's ego solipsism kinda, mixed with solipsism of awareness itself. I experienced that twice sober... The drug induced ego deaths have distorted what other people are to such an extent that I could ask them "are you me?" (literally I did once lolz, during a bad trip where I "broke the universe").

@axiom Why do you think he shouldn’t?  He seems interested and open to this kind of stuff.  Do you think he’s more prone to being destabilized?

I had a similar experience when I was around 8-9 years old. But I wasn’t terrorized by solipsism. Having the realization now vs. entertaining the idea, I still feel much happiness and love. Why are people so terrorized by solipsism? Is it designed like that so that God avoids waking up? If people told me about how terrible and horrifying a restaurant is, I probably wouldn’t go to it after many people telling me that.

Ever since realizing that I am you, I feel like I couldn’t be any more connected to life.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

I guess its totally depends on the person and on how much you dissolve your ego when you have that realization.  Having a solipsistic experience without an ego is easier to stomach than when you are maintaining a finite ego. Because when you think you are finite and you experience that you are all alone, you think you can't survive and thats why it gets super scary i guess (sort of like the ego thinks how the fuck am i gonna survive, if there is noone to help me?).

Also having a solipsistic experience while you are maintaining your ego is problematic ,because you recognize that you are all alone, but you still don't necessarily recognize that you are the one who is responsible for reality and for your experience.

So there is a hopelessness that can potentially come up.

Because he lacks the stability, it seems, to navigate such extreme states. He quite literally terrifies himself with solipsistic thoughts when completely sober, and I don't think that's a good starting point.

Apparently.

This is so amazing. Truth/God will shatter your whole way of living if you are open to it. Thanks for sharing this.

He's just so attached to his academic rational mind that it terrifies him to lose it.

Infinity will break your mind.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
