Al Jazeera journalist fatally shot in the west bank

11 posts in this topic

At this point, it is unable to conclude who shot Shirin abu-aklaah. Whether the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) made the accidental hit or Palestinian terrorists are responsible for the unfortunate incident.

The case, at the moment is under investigation. The bullet was extracted and sent to a laboratory for an analysis.

Being identified as an Israeli-Jew, I feel the military - political pondimonium that goes in my country since this morning's event.

I'll try and post further developments as they come live on Israeli press.

We can compare worldly news reports how each network covers this story.

Peace,

Greg.

Al Jazeera was always disdained by pro-Western countries in the Middle East such as; Saudi, Israel, and America, for their really honest takes on Israel/Palestine and its' anti- Western slant.

Israel literally literally destroyed their press office, and now THIS...

This was a flagrant assasination. As usual Israel deflects blame instantly. The world needs to wake up.

Well, it's either one or the other as those are the sides that exchanged fire.

I haven't looked beyond the original news. I was talking about the labeling:

  • Us: defense/accident.
  • Them: terrorists/strategic set-up.

@Gesundheit2 Okay, I see what you mean.

I probably am biased being an ex-member of the IDF.
