In a society where every interaction with the other sex is sextual how to go about it

I live in a conservative country and a conservative part of that country where male-female interactions are considered sextual and not okay. How to go about having a social circle of female friends at university?

I'm not saying it's hard, there are ways and one of which is using social media but I don't like that approach and I would love to know ur thoughts on this.
