Contemplating 24/7

5 posts in this topic

For the last while, i had developed the habit of literally contemplating 24/7 except when i’m sleeping, so i be contemplating all the time even when i’m doing something else, i be in my mind contemplating “what is counsciousness” and just repeating that question over and over again, endlessly i got so much insights during this phase which just transformed me completely and even had a little taste of god. But i stopped it few weeks ago because it was making me physically tired to be contemplating all the time. Should i go back or not?

Idk. Why don’t you contemplate that. ;)

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

Sure. I remember a phase like that. 24/7 I was just constantly automatically inquiring "What IS everything?"

I naturally contemplate a lot throughout the day, especially in the last 5 years.  It can get pretty exhausting, so I always get a lot of sleep (8+ hours).  I've gotten to the point where my mind gets twisted in paradoxes, and I sometimes get stuck going down deep rabbit holes.  When you're able to let go of prior assumptions, metaphysical terminology begins to lose all meaning.  It's getting very psychologically destabilizing for me right now, so I may need to take a break for that reason.

The end goal, though, is beyond all concepts and beliefs.  It can't be thought about or spoken of, for any thought you have about it is itself not it.  Eventually, all ideas will dissolve.  Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds (LSA) show me that very quickly, I'm sure other substances could as well.  Contemplation is a bridge that helps you get there, meant to be abandoned once you arrive.  Essentially using the mind to destroy the mind.  I'll get there when I'm ready, right now it feels like too much to handle personally.
