Code of Conduct

I am confused on how I should conduct myself. If the complete loss of ego is not survivable, but the greater the level of ego the more delusion and suffering results, where should I draw the line in terms of how saintly/sinful I try to be?

Become wise, loving, pragmatic and idealistic.

As long as you survive you’ll need ego. Create a healthy ego.

I agree developing these traits is desirable. That is a good answer to reflect over.

What is a healthy ego? Because all is one, I thought any ego is delusional.

If I cheat on my taxes in a way that has a very low audit risk, this is healthy for my bank account. Maybe not so much for society at large. If I don't cheat on my taxes, I may lose $5,000 for no reason other than spiritual beliefs. That could be incredibly foolish for a poor person from a survival perspective. Earlier you said be pragmatic. Would it be pragmatic to cheat on taxes if money is a survival concern and the majority of other people cheat also?

God is an infinite dreamer. This level of meta “delusion”…

one…you will not escape as long as you live as a human.

2. It’s not a bad thing but an aspect of the mechanics God used to create this right now

Ego is ‘useful’ all that exists in the domain or pragmatism and survival is an illusion. But, illusion is reality. Because it’s made of Truth and groundless and infinite.

sounds like you are contemplating transcendent morality?

Focus more on direct experience than ego being illusion. Really, the word “ego” is a complex and nuanced word as is “delusion” so. Read read read

Focus on developing emotional intelligence.

I use my sense of empathy to guide me instead of imaginary rules.

This makes sense - especially because rules cannot be created for every imaginable scenario. There is something to be said for a more relaxed experience rather than being excessively analytical.

I had to Google "transcendent morality" but yes that definitely looks applicable. Thanks for the suggestion to read more about these topics.

The goal is not to lose the ego, but to lose fear.

And you should not try to be saintly/sinful, that's intellectual and inauthentic.  Be the real you, deal with the consequences of being the real you, and you'll evolve the real you.
