Music composition/songwriting. And possibly performance I'm not sure yet on that. xD

What style of music do you write?

Public speaking and just speaking in general. It would help me with my future work (science).

At whose will? ;)

Next question: After you identify what you want to master in your lifetime, how are you going to do it? What is your plan? How are you going to turn your mastery into a life purpose to make you money and a livelihood?

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

Authenticity: Building a vision of a 100% authentic life, Research, Contemplation and meditation, aligning my life with the rest of my values, teaching myself to choose truth of being over what feels pleasurable (if they conflict.) Practice being ME.

Music Production/Songwriting: writing music (practice finishing songs, getting the shit songs out) researching specific skills within music production (synthesis, percussion, structure, theory, and so on) and deliberately practicing/honing that skill, adding to the overall. taking lessons for the skills I can find experts on.

Life Performance/Public speaking: Writing more, being impeccable with my word, DOING IT, toastmasters, studying masters of both.

? Good analysis of being specific and concrete.

@Gabith Yes, that is one aspect of mastering our state, but it encompasses so much more. In every now moment we embody a dominant state. That state determines your experience of life. If you want to change your life, you have to change the dominant states you embody.

2. Music production

Broooo, me too. There's so many things that it's not possible for me in this life.

about the public speaking. Have you heard of Toastmasters? I'm sure they have it where you live. I attended it a few times to get over my fear of speaking and it was great. Then corona came and everything went to a stop. But it's great practice.

EDIT: I see it has already been mentioned.

I'm not there yet, still learning some instruments/theory atm. But punk rock, hard/progressive rock, grunge, pop rock are my interests right now.
How about you??

Which instruments?

That great! those fields need conscious and musical people in them. They are not genres I am familiar with, but if that's your heart, I am excited to hear what you create.

Indie electronic, psychedelic pop, a mix of Enya, Tame Impala, and Coldplay. Definitely still experimenting and learning. I expect my style to evolve as the skill set increases.

@r0ckyreed At will, not in general but in particular when it is the most. To let go of it, having no need to defend anything there and then. It is by the ego's will I desire this now, but there and then it is if at all possible something else. Will would here be something negative in the sense of negation, it would instead of giving life to something take the life of something away.

In general I desire very much to have an ego, for otherwise there would be no tomorrow, nothing cohesive in thought.

Edit (yes I wrote this primarily to myself, but it is a mere extension of the above): Since all that is forced comes with an equal anti-force, an equal backlash, the will for this negation has an accidental relation to its hypothesis when come actual. For if come actual this negation is miraculous, not in itself but in relation to everything else. And if it is not miraculous then its direction is, this direction then is an anti force to the negation yet a force to something else.

This miraculous direction I know nothing of, and is empty like the future itself. It is indeed the future, but a subset of it which comes by means of something which itself is presently empty. In other words: this particular negation (and all like such) is not found by reason. You can only extrapolate from the desire, its object is itself the ego and therefore you were right to ask "whose will".

Oh nice, love Coldplay! Yes it always does evolve. I started with classical, like Chopin/Rachmaninoff were my main focus before getting into rock. And thank you very much for the encouragement, likewise to you! Right now I am "catching up" on electric guitar and drums, and just learning the compositions of ones I like and exploring a bit.

What kind of lifestyle would you need to have to attain mastery in your domain? How would the mastery lifestyle differ from your lifestyle now? Why?

List specific behaviors and habits that you will need to do as well as what you will need to let go of and sacrifice.

For me it is waking up earlier, which means going to bed earlier.

Reading books every day for at least half an hour. This means I will need to sacrifice not spending so much time on technology and entertainment.

Remembering my dreams - dream journaling. Means that I sacrifice using my smart phone first thing when I get up.

Remembering my life and important lessons - journaling. This means that no matter how things pan out, I commit to writing about how I feel and my memories of what I want to remember and reflect on. My most important memories and lessons go in my journal, all else is trivial.

Contemplating and meditating every day  for at least half an hour in solitude to start. This means that I sacrifice time spent on the pleasure of distraction such as entertainment. Technology has killed my discipline. There is a reason for meditation - to take back control and discipline over distractions.

Living a healthy lifestyle, which means to do eat healthy and do push-ups, pull-ups, and running every day. Think of exercise as a meditation. Reframe everything to be a meditation.

How is my lifestyle now different? I am busy with work and find excuses to be mediocre. I find excuses to slack off and chose comfort over mastery. I am watching TV, I meditate and contemplate not as much recently because of schoolwork. I have often chosen Netflix over meditation. Why? Because I believe Netflix offers more entertainment and happiness? Because I enjoy it more? Maybe. But sometimes training the mind through discomfort can be more enjoyable. Meditation is a way of looking inwards and that is a skill and an investment that will continue to benefit me later in life. Technology is just a distraction and a pleasure trap. I trade short pleasures over mastery. What if I didn’t?

Why do I want this lifestyle of mastery?

Because I want to be different. Look around. How is what I am doing any different? How can I be a leader if I cannot even lead my own mind? A leader stands out because they are masters of themselves and they represent an ideal and lifestyle that is greater than themselves.

On my imaginary deathbed, I will regret not giving it my all and not following my passions. How can a leader lead without passion? What do I want to lead people towards? Passion. The entire universe is made out of passion. Living a passionate life for me is to jump out of bed being completely exhilarated and high on life such that no fire needs to be lit under my ass because I am the Fire!!! A leader leads through Fire!! That Fire spreads and impacts people. I just got to be more clear about what is my Fire that I want to spread to the world.
