Should you go all out in life or should you be relaxed?

Let's say you are working for a company and you are paid a fixed salary with no commission. And your company is selling let's say Tvs.

Should you go all out and sell lots of TVs for your company or should you stay relax and let things just flow?

On the occasion that your boss ask you to bring in your sales, you then step it up and market more and sell more when called upon. So should you be all out aggressive from the get-go or should you only step up when needed?
