Guides for effective preventing transmission of viruses and bacteria?

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

are there good informations/guides out there which really help with prevention of getting ill with viruses and bacteria? I want to follow the pareto principle (20% of the preventions should help you to get 80% less infection rate) and dont want to follow blindly every hygiene rule.

Are there guides out there which show which steps are the most effective and efficient ones?

Paradoxically one of the best way is support of your natural immunity by exposing yourself to bacteria more not less. Doesn't mean kissing random strangers but embracing healthy ways to come in contact with bacteria in the nature, animals, unwashed produce etc. and sterilising less. Sterile society is what is causing decline of the number of ancient species in our guts we have housed for tens of thousands of years and probably rise of autoimmune reactions abd susceptibility of inflections with colony depletions and rise of pathogenic and opportunistic species.

Erica Sonnenburg has a beautiful lecture on this topic on YouTube how sterilisation and avoidance is causing lots of issues

“If you find yourself acting to impress others, or avoiding action out of fear of what they might think, you have left the path.” ― Epictetus

@Michael569 Yeah good point

But on the other hand these high Infektious Viruses out there(corona, flu) would be good not to have contact with them at all
