@Baz My advice to you is going to sound crazy but I'm going to give it anyway. If you can afford to, take some time off work and don't do anything for a few months. You've been doing what society has told you all your life, so you feel like you can't be yourself around hot chicks. During this time just approach as many women as you can. They don't have to be hot. You don't have to ask them out just do some small talk. Slowly you will lose the fear. LOL

Don't buy into the pickup-narrative. Talk to who you want to talk to and who is receptive of you. And then look for connection with the woman and not results.
