Do not call Sadhguru a conman or fraud on this forum. You have no comprehension of the work he has done for mankind.

I have not engaged in calling him a fraud, n’or do I think he is. I actually respect the man, he has the zest for life of Osho, sans the hedonism and criminality.

But you yourself have said that “none of your favorite Gurus and teachers are awake”.  You weren’t going to teach meditation and yoga because it was “bullshit”. You even claimed Sadghuru was not awake.

When I hear him answering questions, he always appears to have this need to always be right or to appear to others as someone who knows everything, because if he doesn't, people will think less of him, or something.

Like his ego is too attached to this spiritual persona superstar he is now. I'd love to just see him some time honestly saying "I don't know this" or "I am not very sure how to answer your question".  I don't know, simple stuff like that. I remembered now - humbleness - this is what I miss in him.

Sometimes I think I see him momentarily stuck when given a question - it's just intuitive - and I see his mind trying very quickly try to force some believable answer. Something that the person asking would think an enlightened person would say and is satisfied. He doesn't come out genuine.

+1

Joe asks for the 100th time “well, what are the techniques to start improving this guy’s life?”

Sadhguru gives a fundamental theory or just another anecdote “Well you see Joe…”.:D

Also he said that books are for inspiration, not for instructions…*scratch my head on engineer, lawyer, chef, doctor, building something and other occupations head lenguage*o.O

All jokes and criticism aside, at least I know he had done some good stuff. Good that he wanted to give some awareness about the Soil subject, will give it a look now. ??

I just don't buy the "enlightened" crap. At least to me it is crap.

Did he lie about sitting in samadhi for 13 days straight in public?

If he said that, I believe him, no reason to lie about such things.

However, there is still something that comes of as fake and I can't get rid of that feeling while watching him.

A true enlightened being (and I acknowledge that I can't know what enlightenment feels like, I can only guess) wouldn't have a need for acting, but would be always true and genuine to himself and others. I can't take him as genuine from observing him. A lot of times I see he gets some rather difficult question and I see it in him he doesn't know it but at the same time he collects his game in a split second and still gives some answer. To me it comes out forced. Also, a lot of times the answers are very vague, giving me even more sense he's just trying to weasel out of it and still staying on top. And I don't think about these things, I just observe him with my intuition and my intuition is ringing alarms when something in the character is off. He might fool others, but he doesn't fool me. He's hiding something. I don't trust him. I'm like a dog that barks at a certain person because he senses something isn't right.

I've seen Eckart Tolle also taking his time to answer some question, but that comes out completely different. I don't have the same feeling of fakeness there. I can't explain it logically. It just is like that.

Leo aswell, he says a lot of stuff, but not once have I got the feeling of faking anything.

But to be fair, the message Sadhguru is spreading to the world and the work he does is still good and he's done more good than a lot of other people.

P.S.: I just remembered that I also heard he (his organization) constantly attacks youtube videos criticizing him, which are then taken down. I haven't researched that a lot, but I've seen it quite a few times. That too is shady if true.

But ok, I don't really know the truth about these things and I haven't really researched it.

My main point is written above.

oh boy, i fear that Sadhguru might get a lot of hate after this. Joe Rogan really pushed him into talking about aliens and other really "out there" stuff that might make him look like a madman to the average normie Joe Rogan viewer.

That is not the same as calling someone a fraud or conman.

How do you think you are able to tell the depth of his awakening? Drawing conclusions from what he states publicly? Giving him the benefit of the doubt, making blunt metaphysical claims about Enlightenment were probably counterproductive to meet people at the level they're at. Please correct me, if I'm misunderstanding your critique of his. It's been a while since I've heard you say that.

This clip of him talking about biblical heaven was really good.

The idea that we are already in heaven, but we are screwing it up was profound to me.

Although, this does contradict Eastern teachings that state; That life is suffering and dissatisfaction (Buddhism). As well as that we should look forward to death, and the purpose of our lives is to generate good karma and ultimately escape life (Hinduism) https://www.theschooloflife.com/thebookoflife/four-great-ideas-from-hinduism/ (read point one). Even Leo states that life is hard for the purpose of God's entertainment.

So three sources stating that life is not heaven but suffering. Where is Sadghuru getting this idea that we are in heaven?

I know Leo as well tells people that life is a ''precious gift'', I don't buy that. I think he only tells that to unstable people so that they won't kill themselves, but deep down he knows that assertion to be false.

The screwing up part is the suffering part. The "we're already in heaven" part refers to how the end of suffering happens here, not somewhere else.

I think most of the non-fan viewers stopped watching after the first hour of talking about soil. Sadhguru also has such a big audience that it will drown out any negative comments on the clip videos. Also, let's be frank, for the average Western viewer, it shouldn't be a surprise that he is into these things considering the way he looks and dresses. What will the headlines be? "BREAKING: Indian guru believes in mystical things." No, the push back will be from washed-up reactionary YouTubers that nobody cares about.

I think youre taking things a bit too literal/serious, these are just ideas and ways of looking at the world. Its not a case of "4 gurus said this but 10 said something else so the majority must be right", Sadhguru and others are trying to make you understand something that essentially can not be communicated through language, he will do it using different metaphors and stories that just make you think.

Regarding the heaven on earth there has been loads of symbolism around this through history, if you look at Christianity, the garden of eden is pretty much heaven on earth and then humans become corrupted (possible by the mind represented by the serpent), and exiled from it. You can take the whole parable as a metaphor for we could be in Heaven now if we just realise and are content with what we have, which is absolute abundance. This very much is the case in reality. Jesus also said - “Thy kingdom come on earth as in heaven.” Which seems to be about creating heaven on earth rather than being good and going to heaven. I think this echoes what Sadhguru was talking about.

How is nobody here talking about his contact with extraterrestrial life?

I really think he goes way deeper than people give him credit for.
