5 posts in this topic

The death is near and I’m preparing for it as it’s approaching. Someone recommended to read Tibetan book of the dead.
has anyone read it? What are your impressions?

Some parts of it are pretty esoteric to my mind. A lot of focus on consciousness and the illusion of self.

I’m half way through it and I don’t know if I should take certain things as metaphors or if they’re actually happening. Very interesting read.

I don’t find altered states of mind useful for exploring the nature of consciousness. I find trips and OBEs to be very different phenomena. If you haven’t exited the body (you’ll feel it via vibrational turbulence that consciousness undergoes when it changes its frequency when dematirialization takes place) then what you are really exploring is still the mind.
