But the philosopher said stuff like Russia doesn't want to be pushed around, Russia has a great history ok fine. But Ukraine has history too and doesn't want to be pushed around or attacked either.

   I think for some people, to develop deeper understanding and empathy, it can be very difficult to see multiple POVs  in a situation, because on one side it's becoming and being threatened and victimized, so unless a person has been through similar they might not be able to empathize, but on the other side that's doing the perpetrating atm, to see that POV requires one to be comfortable being in a perp's POV in the past to compare to and have some kind of ground to develop empathy.

   However, mostly nothing is effecting what to objectively do in a situation. It can be the same actions in a situation, but coming from different motivations.
