@Leo Gura Why those profile pics has to be so small, 500kb? I can't even take a photo with my camera and put it on the forum because it takes such high quality pictures. I think this limit should be higher.

When you take a picture with your camera, it's like 4000x4000 pixels, larger than can fit on a computer screen at full size usually.

It would take a massive amount of storage if everyone had a 5 MB profile picture. Profile pictures are like 50x50 pixels or something so it's an incredibly inefficient use of space.

If you don't have Photoshop/GIMP, try one of these:
