Your Examples of Art providing you Value

5 posts in this topic

Of course, because Art can't really influence or manipulate objects nor can it do anything physically, the only object it can provide value to is your mind (I guess) It's interesting how Art can't help a Rabbit in the wild, but can help you with... something... Rabbits don't draw, but humans have been drawing for millions of years, which makes me think that even the lowest of the low, the least developed humans like Neanderthals actually saw something in it. they still did it even with their limited equipment / stones.

Alright so what are your examples of Art providing you with something valuable, I bet you're going to struggle with expressing it tangibly, but try your best. My guess is that Art makes you feel different, not necessary good but different. But that can't be all, if that's all then Art isn't anything special and by that I mean it doesn't differ from many other things in life.

I'm not claiming anything, just "freestyling it"

Post Novels or anime, or even western Cartoons /films :)  of course everything from Music to documentaries is also welcome, anything that was made by someone, you would consider an Artist.

The point of any creative activity is that you are getting to express your Godliness. You are touching who you are at a deep level.

Such an act is intrinsically satisfying. You get in the flow. You feel deeply moved, connected, whole and at peace.

Of course, art can provide more traditionally tangible value as well. You can use art to pay your bills or to make some sort of political statement. But that is not the primary reason humans are interested in art. It goes way deeper than that.

music puts me in different moods

for example this makes me feel love and sentimental etc.

and this combined with the video clip gets me ready for ww3 (which i hope doesn't happen)

this also makes me emotional, the music combined with the cartoon, perfect modern art imo

Art depends on a person's state of being, emotional state, their cognitiive and moral development, their personality type, general and specific life experiences and domains of mastery so far, how each mind represents reality and how each mind has a hierarchy of sense making activity, like those who are more visual or auditory or kinesthetic in their sense making, and lastly images internalized over time.

Art doesn't even belong to or is limited by himan beings. Even other creatures with a completely different mind can make art:

Makes you think how Solipsism or Nihilism is ever connected to Art, as a whole and in it's many different forms.
