So affirmations work

5 posts in this topic

Affirmations definitely work, but they require intent/desire. I used to do affirmations before important events and my confidence levels would go over the roof.

Foolish until proven other-wise ;)

To all these kind of questions I would suggest the one who asks to try it for themself and see does it work. Why would you believe that which someone else tells you? Also even if it does or not work for the one who answers then maybe it is different case for you. Anyway if you decide to try it then believe to that which you say and don't just repeat it like mantra without thinking about it.

Who told you that "others" are real?

Affirmations are like a mental pencil that design a self image.

So it depends on what your ultimate goal is.

Are you trying to build up a self image or knock the self image down?

If you are trying to build up your self image, then affirmations can be powerful for that.

But if you are trying to knock down the self image, affirmations are a waste of time because no affirmation (positive or negative) is what you truly are.

Yeah, but unless you are in a heightened state of consciousness while using the effects will be kinda slow.

If you want real change you must be in a higher state of consciousness. Some combination of concentration excersises & weed perphaps. There´s a billion ways to make it work, some healthy and some unhealthy.
