The new Kanye documentary

4 posts in this topic

The new doco on Netflix shows old footage of  him before he hit the big time in the early 2000s.  Crazy to think how big he became. As annoying as Kanye can be these days and the huge narcissist that he became,  it’s fascinating to watch that raw ambition and creativity in the early days..  Great example to see of someone who has a vision and doesn’t give up on it.

What's this doc called? I'm interested.

For all his flaws, you can't take away that he is a very unique person. Personally I don't focus on his political takes or personal life at all, I just find him to be a great artist. I find myself binging his music at least once a year. 808's & Heartbreak is *chefs kiss*

@Roy it’s called ‘Jeen-Yuhs’  and it’s on Netflix.
yeah I know all we see of him is what is portrayed in the media, he seems like a nice guy in this documentary, it is before he got  famous.  I always liked his music although I haven’t really kept up with his more recent stuff.

I don’t see his supposed creative genius. His earlier stuff was okay, later he became more mainstream. It’s all pretty ‘meh’ to me. He’s just another hiphop artist in my book, a dime in a dozen.

RIP Roe V Wade 1973-2022 :)
