The Bulletproof Diet is the way!

5 posts in this topic

After all my research into diet and biohacking, The Bulletproof Diet seems like the perfect diet to me.

The best way to describe it would be a combination of paleo & veganism, however it takes the benefits of both.

The diet consists of grass-fed meats from grass-fed animals, low-mercury fish, pastured eggs and safe plants that are low in anti-nutrients (oxalates/lectins/phytates/mycotoxins)

To any of you who are into high performance or are suffering from auto-immunity or other health conditions (brain fog, digestive issues, fatigue) I would definitely recommend looking into it!

Has anybody else tried the diet, and if so what was your experience?

low-mercury fish

Good diet overall, just try to avoid this one myth, there are no low-mercury fish

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

The bulletproof diet is definitely not the worst advice you can follow, but I dont know what "perfect" means in that context. The "perfect" diet is highly subjective, of an alternatig qualtiy and doesnt follow any predefined clusters like keto, vegan or carnivore. Its also an ideal.

Behind Dave Asprey and his Bulletproof-company stands a huge marketing campaign that focuses on the "biohacker" and self-help commuinity as their competitive niche. They claim to base their product on "scientific evidence" but fail to deliver any substance for some of their ridicolous claims. This does not mean that there is no value in their products or their information - just be careful about taking anything they say face value. Keto diets have been studied a lot in the last few years and the magic disappears if you do them in a controlled setting (who would have thought?).

Anyway, if you feel great going full keto then keep on doing it!

@Olly

I think I’m immediately skeptical of anyone who claims to have the perfect diet.

in all likely, what this person has really discovered is, at best, a diet that works extremely well for them, right now.

At worst, they’re just delusional and have not even discovered that.

That said, there do appear to be some overarching principles behind how nutrition works. And so it makes sense to study them. But there is never going to be the perfect diet. It will always be plug-and-play.
