Some good meditations here. Focus on something that is not thought (like sound or breath) and don't try to push your thoughts away. Be patient and they'll leave you on their own.

@Judy2 Haha I was waiting for that comment?? unfortunately not, but I just had to do this. My answer was 'meditation' anyways, so I thought it was funny to link it to Nahm's site because he always does it? i mean hey, there are some good meditations there

Combination of concentration meditation and Vipassana. Fasting, Kundalini transmissions or other Kundalini work. Contemplation. All day awareness. Questioning everything.

There's a lot you can do. You should combine different traditions and have one core practice because there's a billion of things you can do. You also must strategize well.

And listen to dharma talks while meditating, because you can then understand their pointers (which you can't most of the time).

meditate. at first it is a nightmare and you can only 5 minutes. After an hour it's easy. It's like running more or less. After meditating for an hour, even if your meditation isn't perfect (which it won't be), you will be centered in the present. the feeling is wonderful. you start to enjoy life

It will be better if you take them at least a couple of time to get direct experience of where do you want to go or have a referential point on how it feels like to be absolutely present.
