Michael was a beautiful and pure soul, way ahead of his time. He was vulnerable and open, he was full of love and selflessly opened his heart..

A strong ego is total identification with illusion. Good examples are sport fans. Notice how identified hardcore sport fans can be. Anger, frustration, envy, as well as joy, ecstasy and the feeling of belonging to something are all product of an imaginary "club".

Everything about a sports club is an illusion. A sports club is not a thing out there to be found. It's just the believe that colors, songs, names, values make a real thing. Simple, yet effective trick.
