Experienced Psychosis? And how to go about it.

3 posts in this topic

A few years ago I experienced this: I couldn't distinguish my thought and imagination from reality.

When I thought someone was going to die in my mind, I thought they would actually die at that moment.

And when I thought a dog would walk into my door when I opened it, It would really happen.

I didn't take any psychedelics before that happened so I think people call this a non-drug induced psychosis(which is said to be a severe mental illness).

I didn't think much about it but after listening to Leo's content I now realize that it's an on going process of realizing I am God.

I have a problem when I have to tell someone that I take medication after that incident because most people don't know about these things.

What I'm realizing now is How much what I'm putting into your mind is important. And that it's all Your/My/One's doing.

I personally now regulate what I put into my mind. Drop negative thoughts, block out toxic viewpoints and stuff like that.

I now try to write gratitude journals everyday because I used to always see the negative of things (What I focus on I attract)

I'm realizing these Universal Laws and Core Principles to guide me into a better direction.

It's a feeling more than anything but I think I am going in the right direction.

Sorry if it was too scatter brained..

Give me some support I think I'll need it.

This is pointless. We don’t control our minds. Thoughts come and go on their own.

Focus instead on questioning your thoughts.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@Frosty97 I can relate, am taking antipsychotics daily because of my experiences and comedowns in this work. I would personally recommend you to read Taming Your Gremlin by Rick Carson. It reads like a great talk therapy session teaching you on how to handle your thoughts through this useful visual gremlin metaphor.  Probably my favorite self-help book of all time and I don't know where I'd be without it.
