mathematical universe?

I have encountered many people who refer to the mathematical or otherwise a symmetry within universe. besides mainstream mathematics, these are some of the eerie stuff i found.

i have even seen sadhguru making such claims as to how numbers like 108 are special .some buddhist monks are using that "mala " thing with 108 beads. 108 also appears many times on many buddhist scriptures.

11.11, 666, 13 ,7 are many common widespread "special numbers "used by new age fellas. no wonder many of u have seen such claims like the the meaning of seeing numbers 111 means this 222 means this and so on! typical new age stuff huh?

entire field of astrology is based on a mathematical system . but i don't get how a birthtime and a zodiac sign can determine an entire destiny...hahaha

7 appears in many cultures. bibilical and islamic references to how god made the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Buddhists have a this thing called going clockwise seven times around their stupas or chanting some pali mantras and going 7 seven times around their bodhis . and why number 7 lol?

i dunno why people make such claims but there really seems to be something.

I think I heard sadhguru say somewhere "mysticism and mathematics are inseperable" 

I think by mysticism he means the mechanics of creation or smth.

ofc i do.. they are a human construct as well... i was asking if mathematical nature was an inherent nature of reality. if not, why are all these people even such spiritual people, so hyped up about these numeric patterns and special numbers?

You can come to any conclusion you want when you juggle things long enough and you will start to believe that Universe is giving you hints in any form you like. Reality is that all of those are just thoughts and see what there is without them and that's what is actually in the case.

Of course I don't hold people from believing whatever makes them happy, but just understand first that this is just an another thought and when you can't verify that from your direct experience then that is just a theory.

Surely when you yourself experience something weird in your direct experience you should "believe" to that, but just remember to be extremely caution that you don't make that whole scenario up by just first believing to it and then combining that to experience.

Lastly even sadhguru has some dogmatic background and he is little bit attached to it, but that does not mean you can't take advice from him.

This is a great book which goes through the numbers 1-10 (geometry) and it shows the universal mathematical observations made by peoples from around the world over the ages.

A few more books to consider are, Theology of Arithmetic, The Study of Numbers, and Periphyseon - The Division of Nature

I'd also check out this youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/c/ManlyHallSociety/videos / Over the last 2 months they have been dropping some bombs in regards to the greeks and their interest in number and it's relationship to nature/cosmos/soul.

Ofcourse, it is thought by an infinite intellect.

Just check out mandelbrot sets, it goes on forever, and it is different patterns within patterns, thats not a creation by humans, it is the Mind of God which is responsible for mathematics.

Mathematics is universal.

Check out Georg Cantor, who talk about the Absolute Infinite, which he equates with God.

It is Christ in Christianity which is the Divine Mind responsible for creation and for the order in the universe, he is the Logos.

Numbers prove God!

Numbers exists in minds, numbers and ratios and patterns can be observed wherever you look, the fibonacci sequence,  the golden ratio, phi , fractal etc.

It exist in the world, but in the abstract, you never see the number two for example, but you know what it is.

 But numbers can't actualize anything on their own, they are ideas in the Mind of God.

@happyhappy mathematics is just symbolism and rules. A symbol is just something that stands in for something else. Numerology is bunk, because a number like 108 can symbolise anything you like and so it has no predictive power or meaning.
