Interesting dream message: ticht nat han

6 posts in this topic

Last night i had an interesting yet brief dream.  It was quite vivid since i think it happened when i had already woken up at like 6am and then gone back to sleep briefly.  So perhapd my conscopjsness was more aware or something... dunno.

Anyways.  All it was that i remeber was a vague image of his head and shoulders and his voice saying...

"It's not happiness that make us happy.  Accepting hell is what makes us happy."

What are your thoughts and reactions?

Love it. I have that too, that I dream about people and they say the wisest things. One thing I noticed is that they always seem to give me the message I need at that moment. Like guardian angles.

The quote makes me think of the saying "Nothing makes you happy until nothing makes you happy"

Have you read "Letting Go"? It's basically about that as well. Go into all the difficult feelings, and right the moment you accept them, they free you. Paradoxical & beautiful.

Nice.

No, I haven't read that book.  I'll check it out.

Haha... ya.  paradoxes eh.   This seems, for me at the moment anyways, to be related to experiences in life in general.  Rather than specifically feelings.  Though, I can see how, if contemplated more, I'd see that feelings are really running the show of experiences, such that it's not necessarily experiences that are "the hell", but rather the feelings I feel about them.

For me it seems like some projecting on a monk going on.

Don't see how anyone speaking for meditation and unconditionality like this one would impose / convey such conditions and duality.

It's just a dream.

Take it as you will.
