For happiness in life, basically what's needed is enjoying one's experience, no matter what it is, and setting goals for yourself to move toward to everyday. This creates a sense of hope and meaning.

If you hold yourself as fundamentally unworthy or unlovable, what effects do those beliefs have on your life and relationships?

You might only want to relate to people that don't love you. Whenever you feel loved by the other, you might unconsciously sabotage the relationship. After all, if you assume yourself to be fundamentally unlovable, being loved might threaten that assumption. You'd rather be right and suffer as a result than being proven wrong, yet receive love.

What are dynamics such as this one about? Self-sabotage? Limiting beliefs?

I had been noticing for some time the role that metaphors play in shaping our thinking and language. It's quite revealing and more prevalent than we think.

I'm going to use AI in order to compile a list of metaphors that invent, define and/or shape the ways we experience, conceptualize, and communicate:

Rather than resisting problems, viewing them as insurmountable obstacles to avoid, reframe them as challenges—processes of struggle that open the door to opportunities and lessons if you pay attention (and to the degree to which you do).
