Fuck the mental health system and find a real healer, a person realized as a healer who can actually help you

@Yoremo

Maybe this per suggestion from another member, I haven't tried myself.

@Yoremo You want someone who uses IFS as their main mode of treatment imo.

I've heard its easy to like read a book about it, and then put it on your therapist profile as one of your areas of ability. I'd drop them an email and ask how much training they've done with IFS.

@Yoremo the session itself should immediately quiet down the trauma. And then continue to process the next day and the following week.

If something significant was accomplished then you should feel tired after the session as a result of the brain literally rewiring.

@ZenSwift Just had my first session, and it was basically talk therapy and I talked about my problems and so on and explained it to the therapist. And then I got "assigned" to challenge myself in socializing (which is what we talked about). So it´s basically just some kind of goalsetting and accountability from the therapist. Will try one or two more sessions and otherwise I will find other ways to heal myself.

What would a session of "good therapy" look like? So I can determine a bit better what I am doing rn.

Progress is most often not visible on the surface. It's generally slow and boring.

@Yoremo a good session of therapy looks like tons of emotions being released, crying, whatever. And by the end of it you're exhausted and tired because of all the brain rewiring itself.
