What happens after ego death?

13 posts in this topic

Hi everyone

I´ve heard some NDE Stories recently and I noticed that NDEs and DMT Trips are quite similar experiences. Since our reality and every other reality is just Gods dream and Gods creation, i wanted to know what DMT Trips or NDEs really are? I mean not every one that had an NDE or DMT trip reached god realization, but they were seeing or feeling other things. Most of them experienced unconditional love but not all of them experienced non duality. Does this mean that DMT/NDE experiences are also just part of the human dream but nothing more?

So what does happen with my consciousness after my human experience stops (after death)?

From what I've read, 99% of NDEs retain ego, and therefore are nothing at all like any psychedelic trip. Ego death IS the psychedelic experience, and is the opposite of a you spirit floating away to heaven.

When I "visited heaven" on DMT, my sense of being a self was the first thing that shattered almost instantly, before I reached "heaven".

"Ego Death" is the realization that 'ego' never was.. everything continues, it's just that the imaginary separation between 'you' and 'that which is not you' (ego) goes away during realization, and returns with imaginary separation.

Any distinction(s) between nonduality and unconditional love, are conditions, thoughts. Including ‘them’.

If nonduality were an experience, that’d be two. If unconditional love were an experience, that’d be a condition.

Consciousness is conscious of the thoughts, ‘my consciousness’, ‘my human experience’, and ‘death’.

@Tim Ho the ego does die and you become God.  Ego consciousness falls away into God Consciousness...if it is an awakening.

NDEs aren't ego deaths. During an out of body experience or astral projection, in almost all cases, you're still "you".

That's the million dollar question, and anyone giving you a matter-of-fact answer here is full of shit. Even people that have had them can't truly claim to know.

Other-ness vanishes.

As does solidity. And sense.

You can't really understand it when you're not in the state.

Every time I get into it I realize that my memories of it were completely wrong.

I love NDE stories. Often they send shivers up my spine as I've experienced incredibly similar things myself.

In my view, the different levels of awakening can be likened to an infinite number of concentric circles (really just nested imaginary realms). NDEs and DMT experiences occupy such circles, which are probably quite some distance from regular waking reality. Oneness and infinity occupy other circles, possibly further out, possibly not.

Apparently.
