Why do you want something that you already have?

1 post in this topic

By "something" I mean God. Ultimately I, God, wants God. Why? I already have(am) it.

Why do I want something that I already have?

What does it say about the nature of I?

What does it say about the nature of wanting?

What does it say about the nature of that something?

What does it say about the nature of already-ness?

What does it say about the nature of having?

All those are packed in that one question. And really on deeper contemplation of that question, it acts as a way to help embody the recognition of God(You).

On initial contemplation it became apparent that on a gross level the body wants things, then the emotions, then the mind, then maybe something subtler and so on. What we call Embodiment is God descending down each step. As if an Avatar is descending down the heavens. It's seen to literally be the case that the more one embodies, the more of an avatar he/she becomes.

This is a powerful question.
