A life insurance policy taken out for themselves……and if they do could we question their enlightenment?

probably yes.

And you can always question someone’s enlightenment.

Would you have a solid basis for that questioning? Hell no.

as they say:

 “before enlightenment take care and have insurance, after enlightenment take care and have insurance”

Edit: you can choose to not have insurance, if you dislike the idea, but i don’t think enlightenment would change the rationale behind it.

I mean if everything is in the present moment and your awareness is direct as well as every other person you are experiencing in the moment is all part of consciousness and direct in the present moment  then the idea of you dying and a “future” for life insurance payout seems absurd……  i wonder what Leos thoughts are on this

Maybe it provides comfort in the present moment if you arent enlightened to reduce stress and make you feel better about yourself and loves ones?

Also i only am talking about life insurance like if you die then it pays out.  Not any other type of insurance.

your family may go through a hard time if you die. And it doesn’t matter if they exist in a absolute sense or not. Why would you want them to suffer?

Seems you are missing the collective aspect that endures after you as an individual are dead.

If you have no family, friends or funeral costs sure.

Family might need taking care of, friends might benefit from a funeral, celebration, or moment, and others unrelated to you would benefit if you have enough money in your bank to take care of the arrangement after you die at a minimum.

I mean if you work out how to leave money to your next life let me know  , otherwise its only others you are thinking of if you do something like that.

There is no actuality of “an enlightened person” or “their enlightenment”.

The necessity of life insurance is indeed a social construct, just as a million others things that humans deem “necessary” lol.
