We Use To Hunt Animals, Now We "Hunt" Each Other To Survive

2 posts in this topic

A new metaphor darted across my mind as how the world works. I think in the past we use to exploit animals to survive, now we have extended that to humans. Think of business owners and mangers using their clients and the employees to make survive. It seems in the brave new world you need to exploit/work with other humans to survive. Extract survival value from other humans. Everything we do, all the jobs and businesses, are to do with humans now, instead of plants or animals.

Any thoughts of this infant idea? Would love if any of you wants to expand on it.

Exploiting humans is nothing new. We've been using slavery since pre-biblical times.

Whether governments or kings, the general population has always been exploited through taxation.

If anything we've become far less brutal about it over time. But maybe that's what makes it nefarious, it's hidden and not obvious now. Instead of being a serf that lives and works on your Lord's land, you have your own home. You think you have the choice of where you work and what job you do, you think you're free, but you still can't escape the exploitation. You have to work to survive. And to work, you have to give 20% off the top to people that are working against your best interest.
