How big population size for Pick up?

I want to move to a city but it only has a population size of about 800K people, 

whereas my other option this city has about 7 million people. 

But, the former is less spread out & smaller, so maybe more dense & can be more targeted. 

I also think I like the former better for overall happiness. 

But I am very serious about pick up at this year, I am wondering if 800K people is too small, I need heavy abundance, fuck being needy or constantly competing with other guys

Vegas population size is around 600k .. so not sure if it’s population size, but maybe more so culture / vibe.

We are pointing out nuance from Leo’s claim that 800k is too small. Population size might not be the only measuring stick for opportunities in pickup for a particular city .. Las Vegas as an example. Hence me pointing out other factors like culture/vibe. And I’ve been the Las Vegas (Aria Resort & Casino on Blvd.) so I know who’s in the hotel rooms there…I hope have gone there yourself with this amount of sarcasm lol.

I feel like you should consider more than just the population of girls when choosing to move to a place

Last thing you want is to have a shitty night out then have to drag yourself home to a dumpy studio apartment that you hate being in because that's all you can afford in a bigger city

I live in a town with like 100k people, which is a 15min drive/train from a city with a pop of around 650k and that combined gives me plenty of girls in my age range

I chose to stay in the 100k town instead of the 650k city because it's way cheaper and I was able to rent a lovely apartment which is about a 30 sec walk from all the main bars and clubs there which is basically perfect logistics

Obv the larger city is better for hardcore numbers game pickup but consider other factors as well, you want to be happy where you stay

I hear you .. but 100k sounds limited in opportunities to find a good quantity of attractive women to possibly date. Weigh the cost, but don’t let that be the sole reason not to move to a bigger city. You can furnish a small studio apartment into a pretty cool bachelors pad .. it’s really just the mattress that counts if you know what I mean

Right. In any case 800k could be good depending on the city dynamics itself. I’d check for things like travel destination popularity, and the amount of influences/ presence of millennials. Night life vibes are also essential.

Yeah it also can get diluted by an elderly population, gender ratio is important & also landmarks like parks, commercial areas, transport & of course clubs bars ect...

New York is proably an ideal example but theres no realistic way for me to move there.

Yeh good point las vegas may only have 600K, But a huge majority of that 600K = attractive sociable datable women, all concentrated within similar areas 

.. which might be higher than the amount of attractive sociable datable women in a city with 7 million people, but spread out much wider & including elderly ect..

Switzerland, in total, has 8.5 million people. That's the same as just New York City. Let that sink in.

I think you'll be fine in your smaller city. And if it doesn't work out, you can always move to the larger city if you feel you need to.

800K Doesn't mean 800K available attractive sociable women.

When you consider an actual night out in 1 area of the city, the numbers will be much much less than that. 

But I'm sure you could still learn game with 800K, just saying its not actually 800K

Of course not. It's just that if I think of the handful of approximately 800k cities I know, they have "normal" distributions of male/female or young/old.

If you approach 1000 girls per year (which most guys don't) you will need 10 years to have approached 10k girls.

It depends on the average population age.

 Also, have in mind that overall the bigger the city, the harder It is to open (daygame).

I usually live in 2 million city, But now im spending holidays in my hometown, which is about 120K. Girls are soooo easier to open. They Dont think you are going to sell them something like in Big cities happen LoL. They are open to chat/help much more than in the 2 million city.

There's many problems with London. Too big, horrible weather, expensive, clubs suck & they rarely let you in unless you have women with you. Bouncers are assholes. People are rude & miserable. Girls attitude sucks. Lots of ugly women. Endless list. You can have a different opinion, but I dislike the UK like Hitler hated the Jews.

I mean, if I could simply choose where to live I would probably choose something like Barcelona or Madrid, because of the weather and general attitude of people (more warm hearted and open in the south of Europe), but of course it's not all that easy. I'd have to speak perfect Spanish and stuff, so it's just easier for me to go somewhere else (the best city in my country).

I don't know which city you're considering but probably for you there are also certain inconveniences that come with going to a certain city, a lot things need to be sorted out.

Oh I agree, most 100k towns would not be ideal but this town has a few things going for it like a medium sized university, as well as a much larger city very close by too. And a bit of a party culture

I usually go out one or two nights a week in the 100k town since it's so easy and one night in the big 650k city

The logistics of the small town are just great because you can live so close to everything. When I was looking at places there, first place I went for was an absolutely beautiful apartment for rent that literally shared a wall with a nightclub lol. Talk about perfect logistics
