Feel strangely drawn toward working sales tho I think it would suck

I was going for a data analytics job but I found that pretty boring and it made me want to fall asleep rather than work.

On paper it sounded better than a sales job and I don’t think I would particularly enjoy a sales job but I feel a strange intuitive pull towards it.

are there times when the notion of “follow your heart” or “follow your gut” is stupid?

Give it a shot! What's the worst that can happen? Maybe you have to look around and apply for other jobs and waste a bit time? 

There is a lot of practical communication skills that you can develop while doing a sales job. Knowing how to do sales can be extremely helpful for forming your own business as well.

I think more often not following it is what causes the most pain.

@Average Investor That sounds right. I know my mind can’t process enough information to make very wise decisions.

 I would be making a bit of a commitment because I would be moving to a new city with a decent sized rent.

@universe it could be many things I guess so I’m not sure.

one thing I might like about it could be if it makes me feel like I am expanding into the world a bit and potentially seeing myself growing social skills.

Best case you find a new passion and worst case you could learn a valuable skill.

Why would you not take that chance.
