Some thoughts on Owen Cook

I think he must have taken psychedelics. But he intelligently doesn't tell anyone about this. How do I come to the conclusion?

• He made many videos about advanced spiritual topics
• In one videos he claims, that his clients from some companies take psychedelics and talk with him about it
• His outfit looks sometimes very trippy, colourful. This could be just fashion but it reminds me somehow of LSD how he dress
• why should he not take psychedelics? He tried out almost every personal developement tool. it is his business. Thereful it would make sense to try out psychedelics.

 

• Sometimes I feel, Leo and Cook have the same goal:to make awareness about and to change the toxicity of the social matrix we live in right now, how biased we all human beings are and how society is really a cult. 
  • because of this awareness Cook knows that if he claims to take drugs for personal development, he would loose a lot of his followers so he must keep it as a secret

I doubt it. His father was an abusive alcoholic I believe and Owen was a weed dealer, so he made a strict policy never to take drugs himself because he saw how it destroyed people.

This actually holds him back today with his anti-psychedelic stance. He would grow a lot from taking them, but refuses to.

i'm not sure if i buy his "origin story" of his enlightenment

maybe he just dropped a big bunch a psychs into his stomach

Obviously he has a business to run so I understand his sleaziness. 

In one of his old seminars he refuse to call meditation meditation because his Christian clients would get upset because meditation is linked to Buddhism.

I think he has taken psychedelics before. He's so rich and obviously has time to do them because he's his own boss.

But he probably has a few bad or useless trips and decided to stop. Or his friends had bad experiences with psychedelics so it gave him bad vibes and he stopped.

I know a lot of RSD insiders so I hear things through the grapevine that is not publicly known. Then again, rumors and gossip also exists. But I consider that statement accurate. I don't like to engage in gossip, but this thread was specifically about Owen's usual relationship to drugs, so... For myself I had to make sense of his views on drugs, and this is the sense I made.

Psychedelics don’t cause permanent satori like that.

But Tolle said he took acid.
